We have the most AWESOME Veternarian at Banfield Pet Hospital, in Tustin. Dr. Noah Makela is better than some of the more seasoned veterinarians I've been to. Very Educated & compassionate. You can tell by the way Dr. Makela looks at , and interacts with your pet , that he really likes his career, in animal care. Dr. Makela has taken exceptional care of my Pet , Kipper , a Yorkie, with a big attitude, and is always calm around him , and has a 'way' with him. Kipper recently had Dental Surgery at Banfield Pet Hospital, with Dr. Makela, he did such an exceptional job at explaining everything ! monitoring my pet, contacting me for updates, etc. I did not worry while in his care! I Highly Recommend this Banfield Pet Hospital located inside Petsmart(where I also shop) and I highly recommend Dr. Noah Makela, Valerie, and the Banfield Team . Check them out you will love this place AND this Veternarian 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾CP/Kipper🐾🐾🐾🐾
The staff is great @ Banfield. They truly care, and take care of your pets here. I truly appreciate the updates on his health while he is with their veternarians, and staff. Thank you. 😊 🙏
I went in due to my veterinarian closing and my cat being on the Hills prescription diet. I was trying to get one bag of food because I am in between visits and I need to get in and get him another prescription. I told the lady he cannot keep anything down. I showed him all her medical records and she said there’s nothing she can do, I drive to the next Banfield pet hospital and she gives me a six month pass with six refills. The Asian lady in the front is useless and has a nasty look on her face, a condescending tone in her voice, and she should be fired immediately.
This Banfield has the lowest ratings within 20 miles compared to other branches, and for good reason. I had an appointment at 8:20 am and arrived 5 minutes early, yet I wasn’t checked in until an hour later. When I asked what the point of having an appointment system was if check-in runs an hour behind, a staff member responded, "Why are you yelling at me?" 1. This shows a lack of proper training. If you cannot take client feedback, you are not qualified to work in a face-to-face role. 2. When I asked for the manager’s contact, a staff member gave me the manager’s personal phone number. When I called, the manager was upset, asked how I got her number, and mentioned she was taking the day off. 3. A staff member complained, "I am the only one working at the front." This is not the client’s fault. It is another clear sign of poor management at this Banfield branch. Overall, this Banfield branch shows no clear working culture and does not reflect Banfield’s business standards. The team here urgently needs better training from corporate.
It’s always pleasure to deal with front desk and Dr Kim for my fur baby. Thank you all for taking good care of my baby always.
Always friendly! They open pretty early for drop off appointments (before the store itself opens) which is very convenient. The special care wellness plan is not cheap but it covers a lot. I dropped my dog off for a few vaccines and they did some health checks (including teeth) that were all included in the plan. I didn't end up paying anything at all for the visit.
My dog is very sick with cancer. I specifically asked that he be seen quickly so that he is not stressed out in a cage all day. 7 hours later I finally get through to speak to someone and ask when he will be ready for pick up. I am told the vet is on the phone but they will call me right back. Over an hour later I try calling again and unable to get through. I decide drive down there to pick my dog up. When I arrive I am told the vet is quoting $50 dollars to have a the needed procedure done and it will take 10 minutes if I want to wait. My dog was there for 8 hours for a procedure that takes 10 minutes. I told them I know longer wanted their service and decided to leave with my dog. When I took him outside he peed a lake and chugged water the moment we got home. This tells me not only was he locked up for 8 hours, they were clearly not meeting his basic needs. I should also note that the receptionist was very nice. I am frustrated with the vets’ incompetency to prioritize high needs patients and their complete lack of communication for an already very ill patient.
