My experience started here. My English Bulldog has ear surgery. According to surgeon all went fine and we came to pick him up next day. Upon his release, we loaded into our vehicle and his breathing was very labored. We called the techs back outside and they took him back. We waited for them to calm him down and they decided to keep him for further observation. A phone call later stated they transferred him to the critical care vet asap stating they thought he had pneumonia. Shouldn’t this have been looked for prior to release? After the transfer things only got worse. My issue with VSS is why would you release a dog known for breathing problems without ensuring he was stable. My next review will Be on on the affiliated hospital. And how their negligence led to the sudden death of precious dog. The surgeon has never called to talk about this once we paid they were done. Be cautious here. They are more interested in your money than the pets they are put in charge of. Please use with caution Your pets life may depend on it
Rudy had a torn meniscus and surgery was the only option! The entire experience was excellent! The Doctor, staff and especially, Nurse Molly were exceptional! Rudy recovered very well with the guidelines we were given to help her by these professionals! We completely recommend and thank these remarkable team.
Sasha has had both her knees need surgery, and both of them had excellent results. Her balanced walking was commented on by many other experienced dog owner/trainers that the were used to seeing TPLO results that were noticeable, whereas Sasha looked like nothing had happened to her. Also, it is clear everyone there cares deeply about getting the best possible outcome for every dog, every time. Dr. Keeshan is such a wonderful surgeon. The results are first rate AND he is nice. Win win. Also, each Tech for each surgery really made the process of taking care of Sasha possible. The meds road map, injection instruction, all of it. I was really grateful to all of you. Gems of your profession. Quality care, AND scheduling getting us in the Saturday we drove back to town from our road trip when Sasha's knee swelled, we could not be more thankful. You guys are the best.
This staff has shown true professionalism and top tier service to me and my dog. They truly care for their pets well being and makes sure that all their dogs are as most comfortable and taken care of. Everyone that has helped my dog! Thank you! How professional and friendly everyone is. Doctor Walker is very informative and communicative.
Every time we've have been to VSS, my dog and I have been treated very well. Dr. Sebestyen, the nurses and whole staff have been kind, professional and very caring with Zoey. I feel like she received excellent care at VSS. Thank you! The nurse/tech that helped us at the very first appointment (Susie?) and took Zoey this last Saturday for suture removal was wonderful. Caring, friendly and professional. I also spoke to Susie on the phone during Zoey's recovery and she was friendly and had good suggestions for me regarding Zoey's drain care. The level of caring and communication from everyone was amazing.
My 6 month old puppy needed shoulder surgery and I was devastated. They were able to see me the next day and scheduled his surgery for the next week. Everyone was very nice and great with my difficult dog(He is timid and growls like a demon) Staff were also professional and knowledgeable.
We felt like the team took great care of our dog and answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly. They seem to genuinely care. And our dog seems better after only 2 weeks, so we are hopeful for the best possible outcome after the surgery. VSS staff in all areas are highly competent and compassionate.
