Ghost was my constant loving companion and loyal confidant. When his time came Dr Barrett cared for him in his time of need as if he were her very own. She was extremely gentle with him and took her time explaining each step of the process and asking my permission before proceeding with her duties. Every aspect of the experience was completed very respectfully with true professionalism and her genuine empathy which helped to ease my tremendous pain of losing the best friend I have or ever will know. Dr Barrett has my undying gratitude and thanks for lovingly guiding my sweet boy along the end of his journey. He will be terribly missed and never forgotten.

Kinder Spirits has our third fur baby as of this review. I first encountered Kinder Spirits with my Gracie Lou in October 2022. I had never heard of aquamation until I sought services at this office, which I was so appreciative that I was offer this alternative. Next was our Ginger Girl who passed in August 2025 and then our Artemis on January 10th 2026. Our girls were rescued as pups and passed on due to old aged, did matter that they were seniors they were still our fur babies. The girl at the front desk ( I always forget her name) who is the only person in the office ( that I am aware of) has always been so kind, respectful and kindhearted! The office is very small but oh so comfortable and caring atmosphere, a private room is provided so that you are able to say goodbye to your fur baby. I’m sorry that I’ve had to use such services in such a situation but I am certainly and appreciative of Kinder Spirit’s support and services. I highly recommend KS when your fur baby crosses the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge at least for aquamation services so I’m confident ANY services will be A+ !!!! Sincerely, Roxanne R. ( Gracie) and Naomi G. Kindred Spirits and I were in constant contact regarding the passing of our loved one. They were/are always compassionate and thoughtful. Dr Barrett came to our home and was very conscientious of our needs and emotions. She gently performed the procedure when we were ready. She stepped out so that we and our other loved one could grieve. Then she explained again the next steps. Dr Barrett and Alice (who was also wonderful), kept us up to date and sent a paw print in a card along with handwritten condolences. We will also be receiving the ashes and additional services soon. Having Kindred Spirits come to our home was the best decision for our loved one. Thank you Dr Barrett and Alice for what you do and how you do it.

We had a great experience with Dr. Barrett. She did an amazing job making such a crappy situation the best it could be. Not only was she very clear about the process but made sure we were made to feel very comfortable and gave us options on how we wanted to do everything. Saying goodbye to a pet is the absolute worst so am very thankful we could say goodbye so peacefully and in our home. Thank you so much to Dr. Barrett for everything. You are truly a blessing.

Dr. Barrett was truly amazing. We had made the decision to put our precious Winston down and we were dreading having to do so. In the past, we've utilized a general veterinary office for euthanasia services and while staff are kind, it can feel somewhat "cold". Dr. Barrett offers such a sensitive and personalized service. She called me very quickly for a consult and was able to see me for the appointment within a few days. Her facility is very warm and comforting and is designed to "go at your own pace" with a lot of privacy. A few days after the appointment, she sent us a sweet card with an ink print of Winston's paw, which was truly touching. If you're faced with having to make the difficult decision of end-of-life care with your furry one, I highly recommend utilizing Dr. Barrett's services.

"Kindred Spirits" is a Godsend! My son was faced with the wrenching decision to have to humanely euthanize his beloved pit bull, Lady.💔 The front office coordinator, Alice, was so helpful and accommodating in a difficult time. She guided us and answered all our questions. We had to cancel and reschedule twice because it wasn’t yet time. They were understanding throughout the whole process. Dr. Barrett was kind, capable, professional, and reassuring. We went to the facility and were pleasantly surprised with the peaceful and tranquil setting (diffuser, calming music, read aloud books on crossing the 🌈 bridge, beautiful pictures on the walls, and even chocolate kisses as the final gesture of ♥️). Thank you so much! We are saddened with the loss of Lady, but grateful and relieved with the loving way in which she transitioned to the other side. We will miss her forever…💔

Dr. Barrett has clearly dedicated herself to the really emotionally challenging work of helping people and animals through some of the worst days of our lives. Her practice is really remarkably thoughtfully designed to be clear, supportive, and personal. I think it's important that people be realistic about what can and cannot be controlled in a process like this, but rest assured that Dr. Barrett has the experience, compassion, and insight necessary to ensure that every step is as comfortable and predictable as is humanly possible. May we all be fortunate enough to depart this Earth with so little struggle.
