Brought my dog few days ago for his allergy shot and few other complaints, Dr Fady and the staff were great. They cleaned his ears, anal glands and got the urine sample. Thanks to Dr Fady for examine muffin and diagnosed his Cushing disease. Tests came positive and he is being treated now. Grateful for their help.

I took my dog in for an emergency visit and I’m going to be taking her here moving forward. The staff and the Veterinarian were all very professional and understanding. My dog received the treatment she needed, and I don’t feel like they were over charging. In fact, they gave discounted visits and they made it easy to schedule multiple visits in a short amount of time after work and weekends. They were also prompt with their updates and follow up information.

The doctors at Urban Pet identified a rare disease that my dog has after multiple other veterinarians failed to find the cause of his symptoms. Their diagnosis changed the course of my dog’s care and added years to his life. The team was compassionate, responsive and took the time to explain everything clearly. I am grateful for the care they provided and would recommend Urban Pet without hesitation especially if you have a complicated case that requires problem-solving!

I could not ask for a better Veterinarian in Dr. Andres. I have been coming here for 10 years and only get the absolute best service from Vet, Techs, and staff. Called for a same day appointment today and they fit us in. I drive all the way from Santa Rosa to see these guys. Angela was the vet tech today and the teamwork between the two were brilliant. 35 min door to door visit including eye exam, and treatment! Best part is, the staff and Doctors are extremely good with accommodating my very difficult Shiba. My very friendly GSDs are also clients of his and are allowed to be in the room for moral support. As a critical care nurse myself, I observe their professionalism and expert competency on each visit.

It's fine if you're in the neighborhood and it's outside the hours of your usual vet. The consultation isn't too bad ($140) but they charge $350 for a stool sample and $350 for blood work, while the SPCA usually charges under $200. Also, caution: I felt compelled to leave this review because they share (or maybe sell?) your email address to tons of affiliates, so expect a ton of spam. Pretty shady business practice.

10/10 veterinary office!! Dr. Andres and his team truly care about your pet. Having worked at various vet offices in San Francisco I can speak firsthand to the utmost care and honesty this medical office provides. Dr. Andres responded very quickly to my concern about my cat Cauliflower's infection that hadn't healed and got her in for a procedure the next morning. Urban Pet got me in for TWO different appointments on a last minute basis. It isn't easy to find this level of care as some places can be booked for weeks at a time. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby girl 🙂

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EMERGENCIES!! I am appalled by the experience I had here. I came in as an emergency for a bad cat scratch to my newly adopted puppies eye. I was told that our only option would be to have his eye removed, that it had to happen immediately, and that it would be $6-10k. Thank goodness I decided to ask the rescue our puppy came from for advice and they said to see an eye specialist. As a new dog parent, I didn’t even know that was an option and Urban Pet Hospital never mentioned seeing a specialist as a possibility. The next day the specialist (from Animal Eye Care in Pleasanton) performed a much cheaper surgery (3k) and his eye and vision are completely saved. I don’t want to blame the staff at Urban Pet because they were really emotionally supportive, rubbing my back as I cried and telling me to take my time in the check up room. Maybe they are just really poorly trained? Regardless, it’s unacceptable that as a new dog parent I was told my only option was to have my puppies eye removed when it was completely unnecessary. On top of that, he was sent home with a soft cone so he could just rub his hurt eye on it. Putting him in a hard cone so he can’t rub the eye would seem like common sense. Please revisit your vet training.
