Dr Abernathy is straight to the point about everything with nothing hiding around the corner. He told me what I needed to change for the better. I trust his opinion and his work with all animals of all sizes
We have a little dog that requires RX can dog food. I buy it at Sunrise vet. Not cheap..anywhere but it stops the dog diarrhea. Great employees all around. George has worked on my dogs for 35 years!
We were enjoying an incredible vacation at the Grand Canyon when we had a horrible call from our dog sitter at 2 AM. Long story short, Dr. Abernathy was on call and completely calmed us after assessing the situation with our dog sitter and animal control. Beyond impressed with their professionalism and quality of care until we could get home. So grateful for their care. I’d give them 10 stars.
Not sure where the negative views are coming from however my experience for years is Dr. Abernathy is the best vet and most amazing human being I have met. He really loves animals and is 100% + dedicated to what he does. He puts in a ridiculous amount of hours working 7 days a week. I have witnessed this visiting my pet who was admitted on an emergency basis and everyday I visited on the weekend the Dr. is hands on! ! I highly recommend this very very business clinic.

There is a special wonderful person in Rio Rancho NM. And his name is George Abernathy DVM. He was there when we needed him and love him dearly. How dare somebody called his clinic ‘dump’.? Narrow minded people are followers. Dr. Abernathy treated our digs and our daughter’s two cats with such care. He is and always will be the BEST. We live in CA now, but would give anything to be back in our favorite Land of Enchantment and most certainly would take our dog to Dr. George Abernathy.
