We needed a quick, same day visit for our brand new puppy. They were able to fit me in and take the time to explain what I needed to do to care for our newest family member. The doc was thorough and patient with me and very gentle with our new puppy. She addressed all my concerns and didn't recommend any unnecessary treatments. "We sell liver flavored supplements here, but you can get them from Costco for much cheaper, so that's what I would do." I felt she didn't try to up sell me on anything, which is an issue I've had with vets before. Highly recommend this clinic. We will be using this clinic to provide primary care for our pets. They are centrally located in Rio Rancho off Southern and Peggy (east of the McDonald's). We are very satisfied with the services received.
We've taken our three dogs and cat here for over 5 years but the last year has been awful. Not one here is happy anymore, the Dr and nurse talked down to me and acted grumpy the eerie visit and my wife felt the sand. It's beenthis way forseveral visited. I don't like to be treated like someone without a say in my pets treatment. We're finding a new vet now
Excellent, we had to put our 18 year old dog to sleep, she stopped eating and walking. Everyone was so caring, polite and compassionate. We could have not asked for more. Highly recommended. Such a great small local community business.
Took our dog here because we couldn't get him in anywhere else and he doesn't have a regular vet. The nurse spoke to us asked a few questions and then they took our dog to the back (without us) to examine him. Then the vet comes in the room to talk to us (without him) and I had to basically pry any info out of her. I hear him screaming and yelping in the back and I asked if that was him and she said yeah they are cleaning him. They didn't even ask if they can or tell me that they were going to. I feel like they did not examine him entirely. Or really tell me any other options to take care of him. So he is better now but not because of their care. I wouldn't go back here again.
Ignored my request to examine Yorkies eyes and problem is worse. Asked them to look at his skin and sold me bottle moisturizing shampoo. He has chewing lice. Told them they had their shots but paper from Florida where we had resided was not in folder. Asked them to wait. They took other dog out of room to weigh and returned saying she got her shots. Then pushy asserted they needed to be up to date and appatently considered me as unreliable and said they had to give them their rabies and distemper shots. NOW NEED TO PAY INITIAL VISIT CHARGED. Bill was $325+. Found receipt for last shots. Disregarded my wishes to wait. Did not need shots. Given shots last Sept 2017. Eye problem worse and has had half of one eye covered w milky sticky mucous that appears to have segments. In morning eyelids nearly stuck w this stuff. Darn. Thought something off. No cars in parking lot any time I go by. No dates on their feedback.
We've been taking our cats here for years and have received high-quality, reasonably-priced, and timely care. We are very happy with how their entire staff have gone above and beyond for us, all of these years!
Dr. Schlesinger is very experienced and compassionate vet for your pet. Staff was also really nice and caring to my dog.
