My dog Phinney was staying with the in-laws in Portland when he started showing signs of vomiting, lethargic, wouldn’t eat, etc. Turns out he got into something and had a foreign body stuck in his intestines. He got amazing care at Blue Pearl- diagnosing the issue, carrying out the surgery, caring for him post-op until he could be released. The communication was amazing, 24/7 (his surgery was overnight) both with me over the phone and with the folks there in Portland he was released to. So thankful for them and reccomend them wholeheartedly!!!!!! He is on the mend now and will be okay because of them.

BluePearl literally saved my dog’s life. I am a veterinarian and my old lab went into shock late one night after ingesting a toxic substance on a hike. I knew my Zoe needed the best, intensive care, and the amazing team at BluePearl saved her. They were so amazing at updating me, giving her love, and letting me visit her anytime I wanted. I live in Vancouver and at the recommendation of a vet tech at my pups primary vet, I drove to Portland to go see Dr. Novo at the blue Pearl Northeast clinic for a partial CCL tear. He spent an hour with me going over in detail on how to prevent surgery and just took extra time explaining in what was going on with her knee what the plan of care would be, reviewed x-rays. He just showed a lot of care regarding my dog that he just met. The front staff was very welcoming and even every phone call I made was a positive experience. 10/10. They are forever, my emergency, vet/specialists!

My cat was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, so we needed to transition to a specialty veterinarian. After doing extensive research, we chose Dr. Casey at this hospital and it was absolutely the right decision. Our experience has been exceptional. We’ve been coming in for routine bloodwork and ongoing testing, and every visit has been seamless. The staff especially our vet tech Danielle are all consistently kind, professional, and attentive. Pricing is fair and transparent, which I truly appreciate. Most importantly, my cat is doing significantly better under their care!! They are also an emergency hospital, which gives me tremendous peace of mind. If we ever face an urgent situation, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that her specialty care and emergency services are all under one roof. And as a thoughtful bonus their coffee machine makes an assortment of brewed coffee, which is a lovely touch during what can otherwise be stressful appointments.

This is unfortunately the second visit in the past 6 weeks for my dog who has a history of seizures. Both times the staff have been very kind, empathetic, and informative on what's possibly happening and what we can do to get my pup back to his old self. I don't have much frame of reference for other emergency vets besides one outside of Oregon years ago, but I fully trust BluePearl with my dog and his care. He's already doing better, and this time, I'm more confident we have a strong approach to get him long-term seizure free thanks to BluePearl!

After a very long and stressful day trying to get emergency care for our dog, we are so grateful we found BluePearl Pet Hospital. Earlier that day, we had taken our dog to another emergency animal hospital where we waited 2½ hours, only to be told after triage that it would be another 3 hours or more before she could be seen. We left feeling discouraged and worried. When we arrived at BluePearl, we were warmly greeted by the staff. After waiting about two hours, I approached the receptionist to ask about the estimated wait time. I explained that we had left home at 11:30 that morning seeking help for our dog and it was now 6:00 PM. The receptionist was incredibly kind and compassionate. She personally went to check on our dog's status and then came back and sat beside me in the waiting room to explain what was happening. Her kindness and genuine concern meant more than I can express. Shortly afterward, our dog was seen, and the veterinarian was just as caring and wonderful. From the triage nurse to the receptionist to the veterinarian, every person we encountered treated us with compassion, professionalism, and understanding during a very emotional situation. Thank you, BluePearl, for taking such good care of both our dog and our family. I cannot recommend your team highly enough.

I brought in a super sick rescue today 04/12/26 and all the staff was incredibly sweet, helpful, kind and just above all amazing. My vet personally recommended Blue Pearl to me and I will forever continue using Blue Pearl for emergency veterinary care as well as end of life care. While my rescue cat unfortunately passed away they made sure to give us time to grieve and process before taking her back and cleaning her. Once they returned her to us they put her in her own little personalized box. These staff members here genuinely care and will forever have my gratitude.
