Hawthorne Animal Hospital

After I received the very unfortunate prognosis for my long-time furry friend, Hawthorne was extremely compassionate and professional in assisting me in putting him to rest, including cremation and return of his remains. They provided great comfort during a very challenging time!

A great veterinarian staff has done a wonderful job over the years with our pets. They are accommodating and understanding to our needs. We are so happy they are there!

We just lost our sweet kitty to kidney disease and Dr Michelson and Martha and just the entire staff were so wonderful. The compassion and understanding was wonderful. They helped us through a very difficult time saying our goodbyes. 💔

Dr. Probst was a little off-putting, and IMO tried to semi-guilt trip me into more expensive testing that I could get performed at my vet within 12 hours when they were opened. That said, I am sure being a night ER vet is tough, and he did let me dictate the appropriate care for my dog in order to stabilize him until his vet opened (fluids and other meds). Besides the $350 walk-in charge (ERs cannot exist for free unfortunately), the prices were actually not that much higher than my vet for the tx we did (although the suggested imaging is 1/4 the price at my vet, so we waited). All in all, $540 on a Sunday night/Mon. AM and probably helped my dog hang on until we could follow-up at his vet later that day. So, I can't complain. Expensive, yes. But got us through. Thank you Dr. Probst and Hawthorne Animal hospital!

Over the years I've had many pleasant interactions with this professional facility, and even the basics of checking vaccine information on shared clients is always friendly and thorough. My clients also speak very highly of the caring nature of the staff.

Fantastic groomer!! Tae did an amazing job with a difficult patient and our dog was happy afterwards!! The people at Hawthorne are kind, helpful and competent!

For over 20 years I have been bringing our pets to Hawthorne Animal Hospital. I often laugh and tell friends that the Hawthorne doctors/vet techs care more about our pets than our doctors care about our human family! The entire staff is patient, eager to answer questions, and show genuine concern for our pets. Our annual visits are thorough and unrushed. The vets take their time and seek to answer all questions and concerns, as well as educate the pet parent about pet care and any necessary medicines. Our pets also enjoy superior grooming services here! I highly recommend this animal hospital!
