Very nice hard working people provided resonably priced health care services to my fur babies so I will be taking me fur babies back to them. My 3 dogs are not dogs to me. They are people and all four of us accepte eachother for just the way we are & we all care for and love eachother.

Very friendly staff and excellent location to my neighborhood. Felt violated by the pricing and lack of urgency to my cat’s issues. Wanted to charge me $977 to come up with a plan. X-ray, medications and enema. Paid for enema and laxative only to have her pass away the next day. To top it off, I brought her back the next day to put her out of her pain and they closed a half an hour before their posted closing time. No good recommendations from me.

Love the staff here . Dr.Dawid is the best! We added 2 new kittens to our family and they took great care of them. Thank you for the wonderful service. We just adopted an English bulldog from Bulldog Haven NW and brought him in to see Doctor. Dawid He is absolutely the best veterinarian I have ever had. I’ve had a few others that come close. The staff here is great and they have taken great care of Winston and our two cats, Gus and gizmo and our other dog Rosco.. We love it here😊❤️

Friendly, attentive and easy-going atmosphere. The vibe was gr8, Vaylah had really 'actually' great experience for her first visit to her new friends. Thank you Dr. W and all the staff for making her first visit a welcoming and loving one. We will see you soon. P. S., she loved the treats!!

I brought Spotty, my thirteen year old diabetic cat to the hospital for her checkup. We just moved to Vancouver and wanted to get her established with good routine care. I was so pleased with Vancouver Veterinary Hospital! Everyone was very nice and helpful and our Veterinarian Rachel McAuley is wonderful. She has some great ideas for optimizing Spotty's health beyond just insulin injections. I'm delighted! I'm very pleased with the care she got and I really like all the personnel too, special thanks to Dr. McAuley for her excellent care and attention to my sweet kitty!

I'm new to the area and was a little nervous about finding the right vet for my pup, but I couldn’t be happier with the care we received here! The team was so welcoming and made both me and my puppy feel comfortable right away. They took really good care of us, explained everything clearly, and were super gentle with my little one. I feel so lucky to have found such a trustworthy and kind vet so soon after arriving. Highly recommend! 🐾💙

I am writing this review because I genuinely believe pet owners deserve to be informed before trusting Vancouver Veterinary Hospital with the care of their animals. Earlier today, I brought my cat into Vancouver Veterinary Hospital and was told that without immediate treatment he would likely die within 24–48 hours. I was told the only viable treatment option was an emergency surgery costing more than $2,900, followed by transfer to a 24-hour inpatient care facility that could cost approximately $3,000 per day. During one of the most stressful moments imaginable, the conversation felt overwhelmingly focused on cost, euthanasia, and financial limitations. Very little time was spent actually explaining my cat’s condition, reviewing lab results, or educating me about what was happening. Instead, there was repeated emphasis on how often cats are euthanized because owners cannot afford treatment, and euthanasia was presented as the more humane option. What made the situation even more frustrating was the inconsistency regarding payment assistance. Initially, I was told they could not help with payment plans and was asked if I wanted recommendations for outside financing. Later, they returned with three payment plan options — yet none of them covered the "life-saving" surgery they insisted was urgently necessary. Despite declining surgery, I was still charged more than $1,700 for treatment intended only to relieve symptoms. To make matters worse, they prescribed medication that I later learned can actually contribute to the very issue my cat was being treated for. Another veterinarian informed me that this medication has largely fallen out of favor for feline treatment and is no longer considered standard care in many cases. Thankfully, I decided to seek a second opinion. I am writing this while sitting in another veterinary clinic in Portland, Oregon, and the difference in professionalism and quality of care is honestly shocking. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and run with the professionalism you would expect from a human medical facility. The doctor spent over 30 minutes carefully reviewing my cat’s condition with my partner and me, thoroughly explaining the lab work Vancouver Veterinary Hospital had performed — lab work nobody there had taken the time to explain to us earlier. Most importantly, this veterinarian told us that my cat did not need surgery and that based on the same lab results taken earlier that day, he is actually a very healthy cat. I cried from relief. Had I followed the guidance I received at Vancouver Veterinary Hospital without seeking another opinion, I might have unnecessarily put my cat through invasive surgery, faced devastating financial hardship, or worse — chosen euthanasia based on incomplete or misleading information. I understand veterinary medicine is difficult and expensive, and I understand not every outcome can be positive. But pet owners deserve transparency, education, compassion, and honest medical guidance — not fear-driven conversations that make them feel cornered into extreme decisions. My experience at Vancouver Veterinary Hospital left me feeling manipulated, financially pressured, and emotionally devastated at a time when I was simply trying to do what was best for my pet. Beyond the emotional distress, I am now dealing with very real financial consequences. I paid over $1,700 in less than an hour because I genuinely believed my cat was dying and that this was only the beginning of the cost. I left terrified not only for my cat’s life, but also wondering how I was going to afford my mortgage after being told I could soon face thousands more in emergency treatment expenses. After receiving a second opinion in Portland and learning my cat did not need surgery and is actually very healthy, it is incredibly upsetting to realize that had I come here first, I likely would not have paid anywhere near what Vancouver Veterinary Hospital charged me. That realization makes this entire experience even harder to process.
