The care and attention to our dogs health and well being by this group of compassionate animal loving individuals radiates from the walls of this vet clinic and echoes through the phone lines. The doctors on staff are extremely great with our animals and the support they have are just as notable. This week our youngest dog required emergency surgery although we ended up at AEC Rochester hills the team at Oakland hills did not skip a beat working seamlessly at odd ended hours to get all the information for care necessary.
I can’t say enough good things about Oakland Hills. I came here for a third opinion on a surgery my dog needed, and from the very beginning I was blown away by the level of care and clarity. Dr. Christy took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on and made me feel confident moving forward. She communicated everything in a way that truly felt right for my dog. Dr. Socks performed the surgery, and I’m just as grateful for her exceptional care and thoughtful explanations throughout the process. Thank you so much, Pearl and I absolutely adore you all!
My family and I recently had to put down our beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever Duke at 12 years old. We took him to Oakland Hills since his arthritis starting getting bad about 4/5 years ago and we never looked to go elsewhere. Duke dealt with arthritis, seizures, and tumors in his last few years. Every time something new came up, Dr Christy and her staff were always quick to see him and offered multiple solutions and guidance on next steps. When we felt it was time to let Duke go, Dr Christy was empathetic and reassured us that we were making the right decision. She even sent us a sympathy card and note a few days later, which was so incredibly kind. I'd like to think Dr Christy and staff extended Dukes life by a few years, and we will always be grateful for that. Thank you Oakland Hills and Dr Christy!
EDIT (Initial Review is below) - After the awful response to my initial review, it's obvious that all of the people in this place are nasty. Calling me a liar?? I literally witnessed this woman degrading her staff. The lack of accountability says a lot about how this place is run. People are probably scared to leave a bad review because of how the owner handles things. I went into this vets office with a friend of mine while she took her dog here. Most of the staff was absolutely wonderful and I can tell they really care about the animals brought in to them. HOWEVER... Magda? I think that's her name? Was the nastiest woman I've seen in my life. I'm pretty sure she's a manager there judging on the very obvious power trip she's on. She talked to her staff like they're stupid and beneath her. After seeing the awful way she behaved towards the people that work with her, I can't believe someone would hire her. I also worry about the fact that if she can't treat people with basic human decency... how is she treating the animals there? All I know, is that if I wasn't with my friend, I would've lost my mind on this awful, nasty excuse of a woman.
Wonderful privately owned hospital. The doctor and staff are very friendly, thorough and fairly priced. They took great care of my dog, who means the world to me. Thank you!
Good vet for our dogs. Dr Christy has been great at listening to our concerns and working through solutions. The staff is always really helpful on the phone when making appointments or talking through an issue.
Best doctors and staff ever. Will never go to another clinic. Everyone is so nice and you can tell that they care about the animals they see.
