Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa

I had an outstanding experience at Tampa Veterinary Medical Clinic – Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa when I brought in my three-year-old German Shepherd, Pete, for a severe ear infection. CJ, the veterinary technician, was wonderful from the moment we arrived. Pete was in a lot of pain and very agitated, but CJ was calm, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She listened carefully and helped settle Pete, which made a big difference at the start of the visit. Dr. Rhodes, the veterinarian on call, was excellent. She asked thoughtful questions, explained everything clearly, and treated Pete with a long-acting medication that works for 30 days — meaning no daily ear drops at home. That was a huge relief. Stephanie, Dr. Rhodes’ assistant, took great care of Pete while he was sedated and carefully monitored him throughout the procedure. Eddie at the front desk was welcoming and professional and helped make the whole visit smooth and reassuring. The entire team at Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa showed professionalism, compassion, and genuine care for Pete. I’m very grateful for the excellent treatment and highly recommend them to anyone needing urgent veterinary care in the Tampa area. Thank you again to CJ, Dr. Rhodes, Stephanie, and Eddie for taking such great care of Pete — your kindness and professionalism truly made a stressful situation much easier for both of us.

Our dog started limping without any obvious cause. It was the weekend, and we were torn between waiting to see our normal Vet or going to a Vet ER. Thankfully, we found Urgent Pet Care of South Tampa on Google, and since they were sort of the "in-between" our normal vet and the ER, we took a chance. They were great! We didn’t have to wait very long, and the team were all extremely friendly and professional. They addressed the issues, gave us an initial plan and meds, told us what to look out for, and then recommended a long-term plan based upon how the next few days go. Highly recommend, especially if you are outside your Vet’s normal hours. The price was extremely reasonable and lower than we expected, given it was a walk-in weekend urgent care visit.

I can’t thank enough the attention and service I was given today. My Boston Terrier came for urgent care bleeding from throwing up, and they did all exams to make sure he was ok. The staff was amazing, professional and caring. Thank from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my baby.

We recently visited Urgent Pet Care of Tampa after our dog was bitten by another dog while walking. The entire staff, from the reception to the vet tech Ryan and the doctor, was incredibly professional. They were kind, attentive, and took excellent care of our dog, treating his wounds and providing medication. Their genuine concern for our pet's well-being was evident. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of urgent pet care.

Such a compassionate and caring group of people. They went above and beyond for my cat. I highly reccomend this practice! I cannot thank them enough.

We visited back in February for an after-hours visit and last minute tooth abscess. The lovely vet, Ryan the vet tech and Allison at front desk command made sure my boy was seen. This team is flexible and cares about their patients.

10/10 experience, everyone was extremely friendly and sweet to my boy Odin. I’m so thankful that they were there to help. They all deserve a raise! 💗 especially working hard on Father’s Day. Thank you all again.
