Dr. Milina (sp) and nurses, techs and team are amazing. Must mention Miss Gretal. We adopted an amazing Chinese Pug at an event. We took her in for a post adoption check up and the vet discovered our new baby had a serious medical condition. We were given the option of reliquishing her back, which we declined to do. It wasn't our furbabies fault nor was it the Humane Societies fault. Thanks to Dr. Milinas quick discovery our furbaby is receiving the therapy she needs and is responding to her treatment and is doing great. We have had great support from Tampa Humane Society and Hospital. Shout out to everyone involved in her pre-adoption care and the ongoing emotional support and care.
I had to take my 6-week-old kitten here today to get an exam done, as well as obtain dewormer, and although there were some slight hiccups in communication via email (ie difference in communication styles), things went very smoothly in person. Firstly, I greatly appreciated that the receptionists who answered my emails did so with patience and kindness (I did have to ask for clarification on a certain question a couple of times, but I never felt rushed or like my question was unimportant). The staff and the Doctor were all very friendly, kind and caring. I really appreciated the fact that they were respectful of my wishes regarding my kitten's care, as well as my budgetary restrictions. My kitten was also very comfortable and playful while there, which made the experience all the more pleasant. 🖤✨
These are kind and compassionate people that truly care about canines and all other animals. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours, both times I tried. They make the rising cost of owning a pet more attainable. I make the trip from Riverview, where many animal care centers just take advantage of people and their wallet, all the way into the city to go here. You will have to wait there, but they are considerate enough to make that clear on the website, and again in correspondence. An added plus is the sheer volume of animals they see. This exposes the Vets to a wider array of illness and better prepare them to differentiate between different illness’s that may have a similar presentation. AND! Prices are unbeatable. I paid $42 for what would have cost $200 in Riverview.
I adopted a kitten from this shelter about two months ago. Prior to adoption, he had a cyst, and I was told it had been taken care of and that he was fine. After bringing him home, I discovered he had Giardia. It took two veterinary appointments to finally clear the infection. About 10 days later, I noticed swelling again on the same side where the cyst had previously been. I called the vet services and left four voicemails without receiving a return call. I then scheduled an appointment online through the website, only to receive a call two days later informing me that online scheduling is for vaccines only. I was then rescheduled more than a week out. Today, I arrived for my appointment and was not taken to the back until an hour and a half later. It has now been over two hours past my appointment time, and I am still waiting in the exam room. Not only did I adopt my kitten from this shelter, but I am also using their veterinary services. Every visit has involved at least a two-hour wait. This is extremely frustrating and feels disrespectful of clients’ time. What is the purpose of scheduling an appointment if patients are consistently waiting two, three, or even four hours before being seen? Please do better.
Absolutely incredible!! They are pretty busy, but you can see why. Excellent service. Excellent care. For me, a stray kitten showed up at my door at the worst time. He showed signs of needing a vet within a day of being with me, while I looked for a home for him. His bill was less than half what it should have been, but was still was completely unexpected and at a very hard time for me. They ended up helping me apply for pet assistance, and that paid the entire bill. I will still need to pay his follow up, but it should be substantially less and I will have a week to actually plan for it. I'm so grateful for them. They blessed us and really turned this kitten around. Now he is pain free, running and playing like a kitten should. I will be forever thankful to the staff at this amazing vet clinic!! Thank you!!!
They treated my puppy for parvo and thanks to them they saved her life! Dr Milian and the entire team of techs and the front desk were incredibly friendly and professional. Waiting times were quick! We were in and out, but everything was also very thorough. My pup got the best treatment and the exam was very thorough. If I ever need any more services, they will be my first choice. Also the building was very clean. The cost for her parvo treatment costed less than $650, whereas I've heard other vets charge thousands.
I always take my dog Mia over the Humane Society Animal Clinic. They're always friendly and have great professional service. Mia had a 2pm appointment and after taking 3 buses from Clearwater to Tampa. We had to take a Lyft not to be late and a financial issue happened. The money I had to pay for the services I spent some for the Lyft ride. I told the doctor's assistant that I was worried because I had spent part of the money on a Lyft not to be late. A nice Lady came to me and I told her my story, about the money that I paid for the Lyft. In a very compassionate way she told me Ms. Niza I got you! I had been praying all along and the she said, The bill is covered in full by the clinic. She said of course this was a real emergency and that's why they came forward!!!! I started bringing Mia here since I adopted her from them. We moved from Tampa to Clearwater we took 3 buses and that Lyft to be there in time. I am forever grateful and wanted to share my story to show the community that Angels not always wear Wings. Thank you and God bless 🙏you all at the Humane Society Animal Clinic. Ms. Niza and Mia🧓🐾🐾
