Love this place! Helped my Brody. Staff is awesome! So nice and reasonable prices.
Scheduled a first appointment for my 2 puppies. I was called at 8:30 am the day of my appointment, the vet was running behind on his surgery. So I was ask if I could come in at 12:30 instead of 11, so me being the nice person I am said no problem. After fighting an hr and half of traffic due to the rescheduling they needed me to do. I got there a few mins behind. So instead of calling me to see if I was almost there or needed to reschedule. I was told when I walked in the vet had went to lunch already and he couldn’t fit me in later! Felt that was very rude after having me reschedule because of the vet running behind himself! I wouldn’t recommend traveling the distance to see this vet! It was definitely not worth my time or having to deal with the ridiculous traffic nor for me to be understanding when he was running behind!! Plus had had to put my 2 puppies though the long distance of traveling for no nothing!!! 👎👎👎👎 my poor babies Instantly fell asleep on my lap just from the stress of traveling there.
We came in for a consult for acupuncture with Dr. DeRosa. Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. My dog is terrified of strangers but Dr. DeRosa and the assisting tech got on the floor with her and were able to make friends with her. We came back yesterday for our first acupuncture and we were met with the same patience. Dr. DeRosa did an excellent job of explaining the process and providing me with options for the best possible outcome while educating me on potential long term issues so that I can make better informed decisions on future care.
Excellent service from the start! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lovely service each visit for our cat.
I started coming to Coastal Animal Clinic this year and absolutely love it! The staff is very kind, caring and the facility is extremely clean. I learned about them when researching alternative options to surgery to avoid using anesthesia on my 13 year old dog, who had a large hematoma in his ear. They are the only clinic I could find that offered cold laser treatment, so I bought a six session package and by the third one, his ear started flattening out! I now take my three pets there for regular visits and recently started cold laser treatment again for arthritis in my dog’s hips/legs. For anyone looking for a vet in the Westshore, Midtown, South Tampa area, I highly recommend Coastal Animal Clinic.
This was my first time at Coastal Vet and I was referred by a neighbor. Absolutely love the staff and the environment! So happy to be be there and have a great experience with them being a new Vet for my pups.
I no longer trust this clinic. My two dogs have been coming here for the last year, since we moved to Tampa. However, our first appointment took over 2.5 hours. Which is unacceptable for an annual check up. I had to take a half day off of work just to drive here, stay at the appointment and go home when our previous vet did an annual exam in about 30 mins. Secondly, they take the dogs to the back to do anything and it makes me uncomfortable. I would like to see what they are doing that is taking so long. The next time we came it was much more efficient visit. When looking into spaying for our mini Aussie, they estimated us some egregious amount. So we went somewhere else for that (which was ⅓ of the cost). Last week we took our mini doodle in because she had diarrhea for 3 days, and her last BM had some blood. The clinic told my husband that a little bit of blood is normal and not to be concerned then they prescribed her 3 medications. One of which was dewormer. They prescribed the dewormer as follows: 5ml 2x per day for a week. But they only gave us 25ml total in the vial. 5*2=10 and 10*7=70. So either they gave incorrect amount of meds or they gave the wrong instructions (give for 3 days not a week). We called to ask for clarification when we realized they didn’t give enough medication. They have not returned our call or prescribed more medication. It’s been 3 days since we originally called. Our dog should be done with her medications tonight. They consistently show a lack of concern for the pets they treat and the careless attitude has really lost them my trust with my pets.
