Springfield Animal Hospital

I have taken my pets to Springfield Animal Hospital for nearly two decades. I can't rave enough about this hospital or their veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and client care specialists. They are truly an exceptional group of professionals. My pets have seen both Dr. Overman and Dr. Oldfield. Both vets have my highest degree of trust. They have always gone above and beyond to provide my pets with high quality care, demonstrating both expertise and genuine compassion. Both vets, as well as the entire staff, actually KNOW my pets. I don't even think they need to review their charts (although I know they do) because that's how well they've gotten to know each one of my furbabies throughout the years. I truly believe that this team loves my dogs and all of their patients as though they were their own family members. This staff has been with me through some of the best and worst times in my life, and I consider them to be among the most empathetic and supportive individuals that I've ever known. I give Springfield Animal Hospital my highest recommendation. This team reaffirms my faith in humanity. My pug, Mandy, gives them four paws up as well!

I’ve been going here since I first got my pup. I no longer live in the area, but continue to go here because of the care he gets every time. They are efficient, organized and very intentional with their treatments! They are also great with following up post treatment to check on the fur babies and see how they are doing. They also offer boarding which is just as great as the maintenance care. I started to name staff members individually, but I honestly have had great experiences with everyone!

Springfield is amazing & they LOVE the pets, even put up pictures! We switched here from an Alexandria vet that could never get us in for a sick dog! Springfield vets listen to us about our dogs, unlike others. We drive 20 minutes out & it is well worth it. We spent years trying to figure out our dog's allergies, doing food trials, managing environment and symptoms... At our first appointment with Springfield, we asked about blood testing and we started immune therapy drops within 2 months, it's been SO much better. A few months ago, our dog's appetite changed drastically. Nothing was showing wrong on blood tests or anything, but Dr. Olfield noticed one slightly elevated enzyme and did a quick ultrasound wand that found his kidney cancer. Ultimately chemo failed, but we got a few more months with our boy because of their diligence. ❤️

Been going here now for a few years, they’re always positive, helpful, and thorough. They are like family, greeting you on arrival. They love pets. Their love shows with how they engage your pet. We’ve gone through many services: dentals, teeth extractions, skin cancer, exams, acupuncture, nerves/pain. They’ve referred us to specialists when needed. Recent software updates has been helpful, whether forms for grooming, visits, confirming appointments, and more. I’m really sorry I don’t know everyone’s names to include in the review, so if I missed you, let’s talk, so I can update the review! Very professional team, always supportive and friendly. I'm boarding my dog there and also there is veterinarian who take care of my dog. My satisfactions are exceeding expectations comparing previous visits at other vet clinics.

I've nothing but positive endorsement for Springfield Animal Hospital. Maybe a little expensive, but the level of experience with their diagnosis and advice for treatment brings a great deal of comfort. I have 2 rescue Pit-mixes that are skiddish and twitchy, but the staff here handle them with great care and can clip their nails while I can't, lol.

These folks are the best. My 9-year-old son’s hamster died and he wanted him cremated, so I called up Springfield Animal Hospital to ask if they could help. Not only did they take care of the little guy, they made the most beautiful paw print plaque. I just love how they put the hamster’s name on there along with the hearts - they put such thought and care into something that was incredibly meaningful for my kid. I’m so grateful.
