My cat had a watery eye. It was a struggle , but I finally got her to the vet. They prescribed eye drops on the first visit and eye ointment on my second visit. They sedated my cat and also trimmed the cat's claws. Turns out that as cats age, the fat behind their eyes gets thinner. As the fat gets thinner, the eye sinks into the skull, causing the furry part of their eyelid to turn in and expose the eye to the fur, which irritates the eye and causes it to water. I cook bacon every morning and let the cat lick the bacon grease in hopes of bulking up the fat behind my cat's eyes. Cat is now 15 years old. I must be doing something right.

I regret not coming here sooner. Many times, I visited this shopping center and saw the vet, but I never went in until my rescue cat, Bigotes, became critically ill. Dr. Ogando—what a blessing to have her as a primary vet! she went above and beyond with Bigotes care. The WHOLE office had been amazing to Bigotes and I. Prices are much better here than other vet offices. I suggested to everyone to stop in here before any other vet office. They are open and Sundays too!!! which is a really wonderful opportunity just in case we need them. No words can describe who grateful I'm with Dr. Ogando and all these Staff. Thanks so much for helping the community I truly appreciate.

I can’t thank this animal hospital enough. Dr. O and Dr. K saved my dog’s life. My dog is only three, and he ended up having a severe blockage in his stomach. It was a scary situation, but from the start, they walked me through everything and made sure I understood all my options. They were patient, honest, and really supportive the whole time. Dr. O was amazing—she saw him through most of his visits, and he grew to love her, which says a lot. You can tell she genuinely cares about the animals she treats. They performed life-saving surgery, and because of them, I still have my dog today. I’m so, so grateful for everything they did for us. Thank you again ❤️

Ridiculous service. Came early to my dog’s appointment to ensure all forms completed, they let me into room and asked me to wait till appt time, that’s all good. Nurse came on time and asked a couple of questions then was out in 1 minute. After that, I waited 35 minutes with no one telling me Dr is delayed or anything and when I finally opened the door to leave, they came in. I stayed because I wanted my dog to get checkup: literally Dr did less than a minute of checking her teeth then told me her heart and lungs sound fine even though he never used stethoscope. At which point, I left after a record 1 minute of Dr time and about 38 minutes of waiting to be charged $75 for absolutely nothing. I could have just sent the money without even coming in, if I’d only sent a picture of my dog, would have been the same veal of care and attention. Not coming back here.

I am very disappointed. I have been coming here for many years with all good results.5 days ago I had my dog in due to noticing blood in her urine. First of all I had to wait 20 minutes once in the room. When the Dr. came in he tried to upsell me on a bunch of treatments, etc. Since my dog is over 11 years old, I agreed to a comprehensive blood test as well as a urine test. The results and medication were promised the following day. It's been 5 days and nothing. I have called every day and been promised a call back only to receive no call. I asked to speak to the manager and the receptionist shielded me from speaking to him. After all this, she was prescribed antibiotics for her UTI. They tried to charge me $195 for 20 pills. I got the from chewy for $39.15.

Full five stars! We visited the hospital after trying both larger vet clinics and practices in the area. Or dog Milo was treated with care and all the time he needed. All options were explained to us on his condition. Thank you Dr. Ogando and your team for your professionalism and dedication. We have found what our pet needs at Animal Place Veterinary Hospital.

I can’t say enough good things about Animal Place Veterinarian in Silver Spring, Maryland! From the moment we walked in, the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Over the weekend, my pet needed urgent medical attention, and Dr. Ogando came to the clinic on her day off to save my dog’s life. That level of dedication is rare and truly appreciated. They treated my pet like family and made sure I understood every step of the process. Dr. Ogando, along with assistants Bids and Lena, were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions with patience and compassion. You can really tell they love what they do. I feel confident and at ease knowing my pet is in such loving hands. I highly recommend Animal Place to any pet parent looking for exceptional care!
