The veterinarian was so wonderful along with his staff. We had a kitty going through kidney failure after 4 years and he was in the last stage of life. It happened suddenly and this clinic was the only one on a weekend that was able to help us. They were all not only amazing, but had the lowest price for euthanasia. I know this because I had called several others to prepare myself for this day. In home service was not available when the time came. Thank goodness for this facility!
A few weeks ago, my dog ate something harmful off the street during a walk. At first, we didn’t realize how serious it was, but he became very sick and constipated. Watching him in pain was heartbreaking. When we brought him in, Dr. Gahra took the time to really listen and examine him carefully. It turned out he needed surgery, which honestly terrified me.What meant the most to me was how Dr. Gahra explained everything. He didn’t rush through it. He walked me through what was happening, what the surgery would involve, and how he was going to treat my pet. The way he spoke was calm and reassuring. It made me feel like my dog was truly in caring hands. I’ve been to other vets before, but no one comes close to the level of communication and compassion I experienced here The staff was also incredibly friendly and warm. From the front desk to the assistants, everyone made a stressful situation feel a little lighter. They treated us like family, not just another appointment. My dog is recovering now, and I’m beyond grateful. Thank you, Dr. Gahra, for your patience, your honesty, and the genuine care you showed. It really made all the difference.
HOSTAGE TACTICS: Withholding medical records and price-gouging meds! This clinic is unethical, unprofessional, and possibly violating veterinary regulations. First, their medication prices are exorbitant. When I tried to order my pet's prescription from a reputable online pharmacy to save money, they ghosted the request to force me to buy from them. But it gets worse. I have decided to switch clinics, but they are now effectively holding my pet's health history hostage. I paid for TWO X-rays at this facility, and despite multiple requests, they refuse to email me the records. Even when my NEW vet clinic contacted them directly to request the files for continuity of care, they ignored them too! They are happy to take your money but refuse to release the medical data you paid for. This is dangerous negligence. Do not trust them with your pet's care. Update: Response to "False Review" Claim The owner claims this is false. It is not. For your internal records, refer to Invoice #60705 from 11/16/2025. I paid for two X-rays regarding my pet's condition, which you are still withholding. Claiming a paying customer is "fake" instead of solving the problem (releasing the medical records) is exactly why I am filing a formal complaint with the California Veterinary Medical Board.
They tried charging me $2,000 to stitch up my dog after a bite. When I asked about a more affordable option, they offered a $500 treatment for cleaning and antibiotics instead. I ended up going to another vet that same night, where my dog was properly treated with staples and medical glue. This experience felt more focused on upselling expensive procedures than on finding a practical solution for my pet. I wish I had paid closer attention to the other reviews before coming here.
Dr. Gahra has been very assertive and mindful on all the treatment he prescribed to Molly on the last 3 years she has been her client. Every time we visited his clinic worried about Molly’s health he has been very clear and emphatic with us during every step or procedure. I couldn’t be more grateful to this clinic, from the staff and the vet, more than once my lovely Molly has been brought to life after visiting them. Thank you for your hard work is really appreciated and for taking care of my Molly. She will turn 14 years old next September 💖
This clinic claims that they can treat small, exotic pets, such as bunnies. However, the vet displayed hesitation when I brought in my bunny, could not come to a diagnosis regarding her condition (she was sniffling), despite looking at her x-ray, and sent me home with no care instructions other than to cage her for a week while feeding her medications (azithromycin and furosemide, a diuretic). The receptionist even admitted that my bunny was the first she'd seen at the clinic. Less than a week later, after receiving no follow up call that was promised, my bunny began to spasm and died in my arms. I had no time to even book a specialist to review her x-rays, as, according to a vet at MetVet in Mountain View that I took her to after she passed, bunnies are incredibly fragile creatures that require specific, long-term medical treatment. He told me, based on a look at the x-rays, that she likely had pneumonia. When expressing my concerns to the Silicon Valley vet via email, he expressed no sympathy whatsoever, offered a partial refund but for WEEKS has not sent over the medical records I continue to request for my pet. I still have not received a refund for the lackluster, rushed, and incomplete care for my now deceased bunny.
Here goes you set an appointment time arrive on time you are seated in a room. We then waited for 40 minutes to be seen as the doctor was sitting in the back room on his computer. We get tests and then more waiting about another hour just sitting. Then sent home no medicine 1100 bucks. Next day go back dog is worse they say they dont know just wait again. Everything will be fine give it some medicine and we shouldn't worry. Poor dog died that night. Long story short they dont tell you if your dog is gonna die dont even try going here. They are money hungry. I have lost 2 dogs here and should have known. They veteranians are inexperienced and I got alot of We dont know lers try this medicine. I highly dont recommend this place and I have spent thousands on my dogs here. My recommendation to Silicon Valley Pet Clinic is to be more upfront with your customers about the state of there pets and also fix your wait times and overcharging people.
