Animal Health Center of Santa Clara

Animal Health Center of Santa Clara was extremely knowledgeable and efficient in helping me obtain an international travel health certificate for my dog. Dr. Bains and Christina were amazing to work with, and a huge shout-out to Samantha, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the entire process and extremely patient in explaining every step to me. The facility was also very clean and well maintained, which I really appreciated. I’m very grateful for their help and would highly recommend this clinic to anyone needing assistance with travel health certification or general veterinary care.

Never coming back here. DR. PRABHDEEP BAIN either hates dogs or animals in general. He made me so uncomfortable/upset when I went in to ask if my dog could get some anti anxiety meds he refused which was fine but then lectured me on returning my dog to the pound before he kills me??? My dog isn't bad he is just anxious has legit reasons for it. I've never had such a bad experience with a veterinarian and I honestly think this guy needs to switch careers. Oh yea and the wait time was ridiculous. There are plenty of other great vets in the area don't waste your time here.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the best experience at this clinic with my cat Mishko. He came in with a significant fever. After doing blood work, antibiotics and pain meds his fever was still not going down and we were sent to the ER vet. My issue with Animal Health Center is that the blood work that was completed was "human error" incorrect and needed to be re-done at the ER. I felt I wasted valuable time and $800 at this clinic. All the staff I encountered were however friendly. After sedating my cat, they still were "unable to fully examine him". I also felt that while some of the treatments and procedures were slightly lower cost than other clinics in the area, they added on extra costs (appetite stimulant cream, probiotics, and cans of food I can get for half the price at Target across the street) that end up not saving you $ and didn’t seem necessary. Our usual vet clinic, Santa Clara Pet Hospital is great and I can’t recommend them enough. I only went to this clinic because they could get him in sooner and I didn’t feel he could wait due to the fever. Looking back, I wish we had just gone to Sage ER Vet (has also been great) instead of wasting valuable time and $ at Animal Health Center.

They have great prices, they accept visits same day when you’re in an emergency, and they are extremely empathetic. I could not recommend this vet enough. They will treat your pet as if they’re their own. They are angels and your loved ones will be in the best hands! They saved my pet’s life

this clinic is disappointing. facility feels old and drab, and the staff comes across as unfriendly. the vet also gave me information that was absurdly incorrect which would make me worry about how more serious issues might be handled if the basics are challenging for him. please look at other 1 star reviews before you ever consider going here.

They are the best veterinary hospital in the Bay Area . Love the personal attention and great care they provide to our pets . We have been taking our two pet dogs to Dr. Bains for the 6 years of our entire stay in the Bay Area . Never visited any other vet because their services are uncomparable . Dr. Bains is a great veterinarian and his diagnosis is always perfect . Our dogs love the friendly staff and lovely ambience here . The staff is knowledgeable and very efficient.

Peterson had his annual exam and vaccines here. Very good experience during the visit. However, it was difficult for me to get this appointment. No one answered the phone call for a few days. (I dialed the phone number listed on Google Map and on their front door.)
