Petfolk Veterinary & Urgent Care - Sandy Springs

I originally moved from my old vet to PetFolk because PetFolk is modern with online scheduling, completely electronic records, two-way text message communications, 7-day/week availability (with no extra charge for weekend appointments), and 24-hour access to nurses/clinicians. The quality of care is terrific. Today I took my two miniature poodles in for their annual exam and Dr. Murphy was extremely thorough, going back through each dog’s entire medical history making sure every previous issue had been resolved. She then detected a slight ear infection in one dog that I was completely unaware of, and she later carefully reviewed the ear culture results with me so I could understand exactly what she was describing. At the end of my appointment, she spent extra time with me discussing ways to reduce the dog’s dental plaque buildup between annual cleanings. And the office staff is super friendly. Today both Elexis and Jasmine were involved with my dogs care and they both excitedly greeted my dogs and treated them as if they were their own. Elexis was great at calming Bella, who gets very nervous in vet appointments. I’m extremely satisfied with both the quality and convenience of care. 10/10 - highly recommend.

I’m pretty selective about my fur babies care. I worked in vet clinics and know when it is genuine compassion or just doing my job from staff. This team is invested in you and your babies. My friend recommended Petfolk to me. We may not be friends, but this is a tremendously caring practice, and I am recommending Petfolk to you.

I have a complaint about Petfolk Veterinary. I brought my cat there and was given an estimate of almost $2,000. I explained that I cannot afford it upfront, and that my pet insurance company was willing to pay the full amount directly. The staff at Sandy Springs told me they would follow up with me, but they did not. Every time I called, I had to repeat my situation because proper notes were not documented and communication was poor. I had to drive 45 minutes to the clinic and also contact my insurance company myself and put them on the phone. After several weeks of delays and being placed on hold, I was suddenly informed by text message that they do not accept direct payment from my insurance company. This is contrary to what I was initially told. My cat is not feeling well, and now I have to start the process over with another veterinarian. I am extremely disappointed with the level of communication and coordination provided.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the exceptional care and warm hospitality provided by the entire staff, from the doctors to the vet techs. They truly embody a Fear Free philosophy, which has been a game-changer for my older dogs who experience stress. The special touches, such as offering cheese and affection, make all the difference. I'm grateful for the membership program, which not only saves me money but also provides peace of mind, especially when unexpected issues arise. The fees are incredibly reasonable, with a membership fee of $99 and vaccination costs starting at $42. I wholeheartedly recommend this animal hospital to anyone seeking top-notch care for their beloved pets.

I really like everyone on the care team here! I have 3 little buddies so we pop in at least 3x a year for checkups. Not only do they take time to answer any questions I have (even if it is silly like recommending toys or general advice), but there are no surprise costs. My senior kitty had to have surgery and I was given a high and low estimate of the surgery so I knew the max I needed to set aside. Highly recommend!

I was from out of town visiting family for the holidays when my very old dog got sick and i had no idea where to go or what to do. I found Petfolk and was lucky it was close. I didn’t know what to expect but was able to get in immediately and we were treated so kindly and competently. After coming home with prescriptions he was well in 2 or 3 days. Urgent care for dogs is such a needed model. I highly recommend Petfolk and Dr. Alleyne.

I’ve been here twice so far and love it! They are up front with treatment and costs and treat your pet with care and attention as if it weee there own and I appreciate that! Everything is open which feels better so you can see what they doing! I would recommend them and will be back!
