We took our 3 year old cat here for his annual exam + vaccines and had a good experience. I wish I had asked the names of the staff, but they were all kind, friendly and professional. The doctor did a thorough exam, and gave us useful diet recommendations. The nurses and technicians showered our boy with pets and praises as they gave him his vaccines. The person at the front desk was welcoming and friendly. We'll continue going to Small Paws!
Small Paws staff are highly knowledgeable and exude care for their patients. They did an exceptional job helping my dog Koa after she was attacked by another dog. The vet techs made Koa comfortable and safe after she was injured, making the exam as easy as possible for an already anxious pup. They gave detailed instructions and advice for after care and cleaned her wounds well. I was impressed with Small Paws and recommend them. The vet techs, especially Carlos, were very skilled and helpful.
Happy that Small Paws (formerly Especially Cats) has reopened. The staff is very kind and good with the animals. I appreciate that you are able to bring your cat out of the carrier once in the exam room, it helps them calm down for those who don't like the carrier experience. Tora says thanks!
I was surprised at some of the negative reviews as our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The techs, receptionist and vet were so warm/lovely and so unbelievably kind to our two cats we brought in after way too long of a pause in check ups. All of the staff members handled our cats with care and attention and emphasized that they wanted to keep the stress of the examination/lab collection as minimal as possible. We did unfortunately learn that both our cats desperately need dental procedures and are so grateful to have that future appointment be in house. Yes, pet care is expensive especially in this economy but that’s partially on my partner and I for not being diligent about dental care for our kitties. My wallet was sad but my heart was grateful for the care and concern shown by the small paws team. Will update as we get further into the dental procedure part but the team made an amazing first impression on us! Also loved how many people knew Avatar the last airbender (our cats are Zuko and Azula).
Very kind vets & staff. The vet took the time to go through each X-ray of my cats' jaws and explain what was normal vs abnormal about their teeth. It took some time, but he was so patient with my questions. The rest of the staff are kind, caring, and personable. I wish vet services did not cost so much because I spent a small fortune treating my two cats for dental issues, but the high price does not seem isolated to this clinic alone.
Small Paws (always Esp Cats in my heart) is the most incredible place with the kindest folks. We are so grateful for the patience and care they give our two kitties. They are always available for questions and tips and make both us humans and fur babies feel at ease. Seth and Mikey are both AMAZING and I’m so grateful for their thoughtfulness and consistent help. Special shoutout to Tania for being so sweet to my cat who is impossible to hold down! All of the doctors, nurses, and staff here are just the best! Thank you all! Zoe says hi and she hopes not to see you soon! 🤭
A truly incredible vet! I call it a kitty spa they're so caring and really make it comfortable for cats. I'm always given attention and information to make decisions. I'm excited they now care for dogs under 35lbs.
