San Francisco SPCA Community Veterinary Clinic

A wonderful community resource and a high quality alternative to the larger and more expensive clinics. They are obviously expert and passionate about what they do with animals and whenever we’re there, we feel safe and well taken care of. We trust that they have the best interests of our dog in mind.

Friendly staff, small location. Timely basic services. In and out not much wait. Located of mission and near Excelsior. Meat markets and cheap stores near by. Small pet office with a simple waiting room lobby and rooms. Accepts pet credit. Has a security guard. Discounted vaccination prices.

I brought my cat here after being overdue for a vet visit due to a negative experience at Banfield, and I’m so glad I chose the SPCA clinic. The doctor was incredibly kind and gentle with my cat, which immediately put me at ease. The staff lets you be present during the appointment (which is something I never could do at banfield) , they explained everything clearly, and were very transparent about pricing, which was also very affordable. When we got home, he was immediately comfortable and didn’t hide all day like he usually did after his past visits at banfield. That alone says everything. Highly recommend.

What an amazing staff. Brought both my pets for an appointment and the staff here were very kind. My dog was very aggressive and they still managed to make us laugh and reassure us that it was okay! Cat did a better job and gave both small treats! Front desk staff were also super kind and resolved an ownership issue we faced. Main Vet was super informative and answered all of our questions! Thank you so much for such a lovely vet visit. 100/10!!!

The care was very affordable, and efficient. They worked with my sister's schedule, and were very responsive. The appointment was able to get in sooner than expected, with excellent care for her furry friend. Highly recommend as a place for vaccines and routine check ups.

It's very small. Scheduling an appts ahead of time is best. Idk what kinda wait you'd be looking at or if they accept walk-in appts. The staff was nice, I didn't wait long to be seen for my appt. There is lots of construction happening on the street right in front of the building so traffic is slow & parking is scarce... Plan ahead or use public transit.

i take my dog and cat here. not only are the prices reasonable, the staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and kind. the vet is no longer a stressful experience for me 🙂
