We love this office. Our now senior dog, Deuce, has received amazing care there for years. When going to other vets we have spent thousands of dollars on determining what the issues were. We did add the wellness plan and it covered the annual cost in our first visit! Never have we only paid $20 for any pet related service let alone a visit with X-rays. It has added peace of mind to our family. We’re so grateful for the Banfield Crocker.
Unfortunately, I will not be back at this location. The staff are friendly, but communication is frustrating. They don't explain dental x-rays or elaborate on important information. I had an appointment to go over what to expect for dental surgery. I got the estimate and was scheduled for the surgery. The day before the surgery, they called to tell me the doctor didn't feel comfortable doing the surgery. So why did you schedule me with them in the first place...? Luckily, they rescheduled me within a week and the surgery went well. My cat came home with flakes all over him and it lasted for 3-4 days. That's never happened to him before. They said it "could be due to stress". He also came home with a noticeable cut on his mouth. No explanation for that either. Side note: It's stupid that even though I have x-rays included on the Wellness Plan, dental x-rays are not.
I have several cats and this is the only place I bring them. Luckily it's under a mile from where I live. The two vets I deal with the most (Drs. Goh and Curro) are very well trained and caring and will take as long as it takes to talk about our cat's health issues. Prices/options are always discussed up front and they will always give referrals to other more specialist vets when required. I am not a fan of the 'Wellness plans' - it's not an insurance policy, more like a buy now, pay later type deal, but it will work for some people, especially as vet care is more expensive than ever.
I rescued a dog a couple months back. I brought him to this location because he was losing some hair and seeming like he was losing weight, though his appetite was voracious. I explained my concerns, the prescriptions given were for flea treatment and general anxiety. Within 24 hrs of taking the medications, my dog was vomiting and had awful diarrhea. None of this was explained to me by the staff. When i called Banfield, they blamed it on my dog possibly eating something he shouldn’t have. When I looked up the medications online, vomiting and diarrhea were absolutely common side effects. As a medical professional myself, I do not see the logic in giving an animal who is already losing weight medications that would cause these symptoms. I called the clinic and was advised to take him to the ER. At the ER they told me to stop all medications and that it was irresponsible to be prescribed them. I will be making a corporate complaint!
I was treated kindly. They were very attentive with my puppy, she felt safe and comfortable. Her anxiety level was low and it gave me confidence to allow them to treat her. I would recommend them. Thank you staff
I had a very disappointing experience with this Crocker Banfield Pet Hospital. I was explicitly told that certain services were covered under their pet wellness plan, only to later find out that this was not true. I made decisions based on that information, so being misled about coverage was both frustrating and unacceptable. To make matters worse, my appointment was canceled by the clinic, causing additional inconvenience and delaying care for my pet. When you’re dealing with pet healthcare, trust and reliability are essential. Unfortunately, this experience showed a lack of transparency and professionalism. I would strongly recommend that others get everything in writing and think carefully before enrolling in their wellness plan.
Worst vet experience ever. My dog who was never afraid of the vet is now terrified and we have switched vets multiple times. It took them about 3 months of giving me drops and telling me I wasn’t putting them in right (literally followed their instructions exactly) to realize my dog actually had a 1.5 inch piece of bark in his ear and the vet pulled it out without putting him under. It was the saddest and worst noise I’ve ever heard. I also took him there a different time when they drugged him without my permission and then tried to charge me for it. Worst experience ever and now I get to deal with his high vet fear. Steer clear if you want good care and want your pet to not be afraid.
