I had a major scare with my cat Meeko who suddenly developed acute kidney failure and almost died from sedation from previous vets. I needed to do follow up bloodwork on him after trying antibiotics but he gets incredibly anxious and feisty at the vet. This was the only place willing to attempt a blood draw without sedation or gabapentin and they did an amazing. They took him to a different room so I wouldn’t have to see or hear Meeko put up a fight and they successfully got the blood and urine they needed without any kind of drugs! Thanks to them, I was able to find out that my boys kidneys are back to normal and I still have valuable time with him. Dr L was very sweet and compassionate. It meant a lot to be presented solutions and options after listening to other doctors pressure me to put my cat down when I knew the antibiotics were working. The office itself has really great vibes as well and everyone is very friendly! Meeko has a new vet! 🎉

We won't go anywhere else. My 13 year old, somewhat disabled tabby Ben was not eating well for almost a week. After calling around we decided to make an appointment online and bring him here and are so glad we did! Very impressed at the level of care, attentiveness and knowledge the Doctors and nurses here posess. You can tell the staff here love cats and know what they're doing. As an added bonus it was very quiet while waiting, no loud barking like at other pet hospitals to give my kitty more anxiety being in his cage and the difference really showed! He was calm getting out his cage and not stressed like previous experiences. I like that they have little stands right at the front to set your kitty cages next to you and off the floor. I also love that Dr. Warley took her time and did a thorough hands-on and visual exam and asked questions which shows how much she cares. She also gave us some great recommendations on how to adjust his diet as a senior kitty and a few days later he was back to his normal self. Thank you so much Reno Hospital for Cats for truly caring for our furbabies and letting us be there with them <3. Exam price is very fair, bring your kitties here you won't regret it. I have been coming to this vet for 7 years, since my two cats were kittens. They used to have a building just for cats and that is why I came here. Now they are in a building that has dogs and cats. We went last week and a dog was barking on the other side of the wall from the exam room my cats and I were waiting in. It barked for almost 20 minutes uninterrupted. I don’t understand why no one was doing anything but my cats were absolutely freaked out. It was a horrible experience for us all. On top of that our vet was late coming back from lunch and we waited for over 40 minutes, with the dog barking, my cats shaking and so scared. They tested a lump on my female cat’s abdomen and still haven’t contacted me with the results and I’m so stressed and upset. I have called many times with no answer. Anyways. Time to search for a new vet. If you have cats and want them to have a good vet experience, please think of going elsewhere.

This is my first ever cat, Miso! The animal medical center made everything very easy for me as a first time owner, and the prices for the services seemed reasonable.

My first visit. The parking lot entrance is easy to miss. I didn't notice the paws in their sign was actually an arrow. My bad. If you think the building is beautiful wait till you get inside. The office is decorated so well that it feels like someone's home and not a Veterinarian office. However it is still roomy, clean and big inside. The staff up front was friendly and quick. We got into an exam room right away. The doctor was wonderful. She was kind, spoke to my kitty directly during the exam, handled her gently and explained things to me clearly. My kitty was stressed to leave the house but with all the above the Vet visit wasn't not as stressful as it could have been for her. Thank you!

We noticed our 19yr old cat who is in stage 2 kidney disease was showing signs of urinary distress early on Friday morning before a long holiday weekend. Since our usual vet has been closed on Fridays since the pandemic we needed to find a vet to help us on short notice. The staff and doctors here happily stepped into the breach and made room for her even with her complex medical conditions. I'm happy to say she's doing much better now. The staff and doctors here are knowledgeable, and caring. The prices very reasonable especially considering the circumstances. They will definitely be seeing her for follow up and we'll be bringing our other three here as well in the future.

While the vets themselves seem fine, I feel as though I have to say that the office staff was awful. From the front desk being terribly condescending to the follow up care, I would never recommend anyone go here, especially in those tender moments with a sick animal. I was told after my appointment that the staff would call me the next day to check on my dying pet. I received a text message asking if I had questions, but when I wrote back immediately with questions, they never responded. I finally called several hours later and they said they "were too busy to check the texts." Why have that system then? I was told to wait a day and they’d call to check on us the following day, but I never heard from them. I tried to call back to see what next steps were for my ill cat and no one ever returned my voicemail. I ended up getting a second opinion somewhere else. I hope that this feedback reaches the vets or manager so that they can assess their system of communication
