Pearl Animal Hospital

I have taken my precious little Fiona to Pearl Animal Hospital ever since I got her from the Oregon Humane Society when she was 1 and a half years old. She just turned 10. I couldn’t ask for better veterinary care than what we get at Pearl Animal Hospital! They are about 2 blocks from my apartment and are so convenient for anyone in the Pearl District. The staff is fantastic and the vet techs and the veterinarians couldn’t be surpassed. Fiona is going to have a dental cleaning and procedure. Every time she has that procedure - the vet techs keep me up to date by text. Before they do any extractions, the veterinarian calls me personally and we discuss it.They file my insurance claims for me. I highly recommend Pearl Animal Hospital!

I started bringing my first dog here in 2020, and everyone was always kind and welcoming. After moving across town and getting a second dog I continue to return because of how welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and caring everyone is here. I feel like my dogs are treated well and the vets provide excellent care.

We have been clients of Pearl Animal Hospital since they opened, and clients of Dr. Anders before that. They have treated five of our dogs and two cats over the years. They are unfailingly kind, compassionate, thorough, caring, and responsive. I love that they provide an explanation of costs before any treatment occurs, so that the plan and costs are entirely in control our control as owners. Their explanations and treatment have always been top notch, and we are very grateful for their years of care.

I'm on the hunt for a certain pill pocket treat (Royal Canin) for my picky cat & have checked every pet store in Portland. I started to call vet offices since this is apparently a niche item for fussy cats... Pearl Animal Hospital sells them, but would not sell them to me without becoming a client. 🙄 Why? You'd be making a sale & potentially gaining a client, yet you refuse to sell a $10 treat bag to me that I'm having a difficult time finding otherwise? Can't speak to their facilities, but the service sucked.

Pearl has been my favorite vet of them all in the 20+ years I’ve been a dog owner. They give every dog such personalized love and care that you feel like your dog is the only one they ever see. They are informative, thoughtful, gentle, and care deeply about both you and your pets. I have the utmost confidence in their skill and decision making and wouldn’t choose another vet over them in a million years. Special shout out to Dr. Britvan who goes above and beyond in big and small ways every chance she gets. I am so grateful to have her as my dogs’ doctor.

They have absolutely sweetest veterinary assistance and staff. I had to have my kitty put down from them several years ago (I never left a review, but I just came across them and thought I should) and they made made him super comfy and gave us time to spend with him and it was as good of an experience as it could be. They even sent us a letter signed by all of them sending their condolences after 🩷

I was very concerned about my cat, the staff at Pearl Animal Hospital was able to see her same day. The staff was WONDERFUL they answered all my questions and the Doctor was very informative and explained everything they needed to do very well. The bill ended up to be less than the estimate - this was because there was a test that they did not perform - I found this so REFRESHING and AMAZING - I would not have known if they did the test or not.
