I’ve been bringing my sweet dog Lulu to Grateful Heart for almost a decade. She’s been fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Felton and Dr. Sarah. This is such a special clinic that’s run by a caring team who truly, and empathetically, go to great lengths to ensure your pet has a smooth experience. As my dog has gotten older, she’s become more fearful of going to the vet, so I appreciate their flexibility to meet virtually or provide preliminary advice over the phone or email. What I appreciate the most is that both vets are incredibly patient, and are always happy to discuss any concerns or questions at length if needed. They also do not try to upsell you, and they even have a donation bin of pet supplies which they will offer up if any items needed are available. Highly recommend! They will love your pet as much as you do.
I have been going to Grateful Heart Vet since 2020. I now have 6 dogs and 2 cats that receive care from them, so it's fair to say I am at Grateful Heart Vet often. Over the years, we have been seen by a few of their amazing veterinarians. I have been very happy with all of the services they provide. The facility itself is always immaculate, quiet and calm (which is great for the pets they see), and its generally been easy to get in. Dr. Felton, Dr. Pavlich and Dr. Kroussaniotakis have seen my crew the most. They are all extremely kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I am always impressed with their bedside manner and compassion. It is clear they all love what they do and the families they work with. Grateful Heart Vet is the first place I recommend all of my dog training clients and I'm so glad to have them to help me with my crew!
We have gotten such good care for our chronically ill dog here. It also is a very calming vet clinic compared to many I’ve been to. I can tell the vets (Dr. Genevive, Dr Sarah, etc) and techs are driven to provide the best possible care. Also, they have multiple options for paying (e.g., Cherry, Care Credit). That has helped us at times when our financial circumstances fluctuated. We moved an hour south and it’s still worth the trip! Thanks Grateful Heart!
Angels on earth. That doesn't even begin to cover it. Dr. Felton has been my vet for almost 20 years. I was beyond thrilled when she opened her own practice. That's when she went from my favorite vet at her old clinic (others were meh) to someone in charge of staffing her own — and I knew I could trust anyone she hired. Front desk people, techs, vets, everyone at Grateful Heart is kind, compassionate, and amazing at what they do. They put the animals first. Never money. Trust is one of those things that's hard to quantify, and with a vet, it's very high stakes. It's life or death. When your animal is ill, vets here will give it to you straight — your options, the cost of them, the quality of life concerns. They will not try to sell you on expensive treatments or act like there is only one way. They TRULY take the time to explain things, allow you to ask questions. They love on all the pets that come in and treat them like their own. I am forever grateful (their name is SO accurate) to have them in my corner, and have been able to make many difficult, gut-wrenching decisions because of the trust I have in them. I wish everyone could have a vet like this.
Dr. Felton has been caring for my cats for almost 20 years! When she moved from the vet clinic nearest our home to open Grateful Heart, there was no hesitation in following her. She goes above and beyond to ensure the highest level of care for pets (and their humans). We have seen other veterinarians at Grateful Heart for time-sensitive issues when Dr. Felton is not available, and have had good experiences as well. Communication has always been prompt and clear, and all of the staff really do their best to make your pet feel comfortable and safe in unfamiliar surroundings. I can't recommend Dr. Felton and Grateful Heart enough.
Female owned, experienced, honest, Oregon State grad, new clinic in hot N Portland neighborhood. Thank you Dr Felton and your talented team for all the care you’ve given my furry high maintenance friends..
We love Grateful Heart! We’ve been taking both of our bulldogs to Dr. Pavlich and she is incredible. You can really feel how much she cares and she always takes extra time to really explain things to us. It can feel expensive, but I truly feel like the care we receive there is totally worth every penny. I cannot recommend Dr Pavlich enough to other Bulldog parents! They need special care, and she’s the best at providing it.
