Heart + Paw

I brought my cat in for a first appointment/checkup. I was concerned with her weight and ear health. The doctor helped design a food plan so we can reduce her weight without taking a lot of food away at once. Ears just needed a good cleaning and she got updated vaccinations as well. Bloodwork also came back clean. With all the services I used including the shots, the total came to under $400. Good price for the level of care and quality of services and facilities.

It is always easy to make and reschedule appointments, which can be done via phone call or online, and staff is very responsive. Everyone is corteous, from reception to RVTs, to the vet herself, and the clinic is spacious and clean. They do not have their own parking, but it is easy to find paid parking nextdoor or behind the clinic. If you are willing to walk a few blocks you can also find street parking. Overall my dogs and I have been happy with Heart + Paw Callowhill.

Very good experience at the vet today. Staff was very nice and welcoming. They offered different options and were upfront and transparent about pricing. They also were flexible and accommodated me with changing my appointment time to later in the day. I would recommend

Raya and I had a wonderful first visit at Heart + Paws Callowhill. The staff was all amazing and did their very best to make Raya feels as comfortable as possible for her first visit. We have definitely found our new vet in our new town.

I’m incredibly grateful to the phenomenal team at Callowhill and Dr. Karwacki at Heart + Paw for the care they gave my dog, Rivka. After her cancer diagnosis, they managed her palliative care thoughtfully and always centered her comfort and dignity. When it was time to say goodbye, they created a calm, compassionate space that allowed her to pass peacefully and without fear. Their kindness made an unbearable moment gentler, and I’ll always be thankful for how they cared for her and supported us through her final weeks.

Took my Dog to Heart +paw for a wellness exam today. Everyone was nice and pleasant. The Dr explained everything well and put me at ease with my concerns. Facility is clean and modern. Exam fee could be more reasonable however. $90 for an exam is a bit much. My Veterinarian in Los Angeles only charged a $50 exam fee.

I arrived early for my appointment but was let in right away without an issue. Everyone was so professional and friendly, and the whole appointment went smoothly (although my cat really didn’t like the shots). I had a really positive experience at this location. I would highly recommend this place!
