This is the right place if you have an exotic pet. They are truly amazing. Special thanks to the vet tech who helped us. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. She showed us how to properly administer medication to our bunny without a fight 😂 Most importantly the prescribed treatment is working. We took our bunny to two clinics claiming they had specialists, and wasted a lot of time and money on the wrong treatment.

Fantastic vet office - I have always had a great experience from the moment I walk in the door through to follow up care. I have four rabbits with varying medical needs, and one in specific with a very strange and difficult to figure out chronic issue. Dr Labrecque has been incredibly dedicated and put a lot of time and effort, including reviewing research and calling other offices, to try to provide the best care for him and get to the root cause. The vets have always been clear, transparent, and patient - every appointment, they have sat down to show me all x rays and test results, explained everything they see and how they have come to their conclusions, and answered all of my questions. I have never felt they were impatient or annoyed and have always been treated with a lot of respect and given the chance to ask and talk about as much as I need. The reception staff and vet techs are gentle and kind with the bunnies and clearly provide a high quality of care. They make themselves incredibly available via phone and text, and have always been more than happy to answer my questions and concerns, no matter the frequency or time of day. I truly believe this is an office built on a genuine love for animals and a competent expertise, and it comes through constantly. They have been literal life savers for my babies, and I highly recommend them.

Dr. Kanfer saved my bunny's life. I had already taken her to four different vets, one of whom is considered a bunny expert, and spent thousands of dollars. My bunny's primary vet had referred her out for cancer testing. My bunny would not eat, I could not wean her off motility drugs for months, and the vets were all confused about what was causing it. Dr. Kanfer recommended starting with the most cost effective testing and work our way up from there. It turned out the cheapest test was the most accurate; she had parasites, and while she had already been tested in the past twice before, Dr. Kanfer explained the normal test often has a high rate of false negative. She's now her normal foodie self! I'm so grateful. She is older, but I had a feeling it wasn't her time. The vet visit is on the pricier side, but the doctor spent a long time with us, being very thorough and answering questions, and was very helpful in follow up emails. The only downside was the person who typed up my pet's medical history. She was grumpy and made a couple of passive aggressive comments; one of the comments was lowkey mocking me for bringing my pet to a 'dog and cat' vet before, when I hadn't known he wasn't an exotic until the appointment. Everyone else, especially the front desk, was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Kanfer for your bunnies!!

I started bringing my two bearded dragons here for their parasite and infection treatment a few months ago and the entire staff at Exotic Animal Vet Center has been amazing. From front desk, vet techs, and the doctors. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. They take the time to listen to concerns and gave me all the information I need to get my beardies feeling their best.

In regards to a review about unfair vet prices and preying on pet owners. Veterinary care in general is expensive. My sons dogs ear infection cost him 750 dollars…an ear infection. This is a dog too keep that in mind not an exotic…of course exotic care will cost more their exotics. If you want to talk about preying on the owners… my experience with that cost me 8 months of vet visits and 2 surgeries costing over 3500 dollars only for this so called "rabbit vet" to tell me he doesn’t know what’s wrong. When just 1 visit with Dr. Silpa ( who is an amazing exotics vet) took one look into my little bunnies mouth and quickly diagnosed him with advanced dental disease. If I had taken my bunny there from the beginning over all I would have SAVED money. So it REALLY does matter to find a good QUALITY vet who knows what they’re doing to take care of your special friends. Fast forward 4 months my bunny has been a happy hoppy bunny and no more roller coaster rides for him thanks to Dr Silpa!

Exotic Animal Hospital is where I've been taking both of my bunnies for the past 2 years. We've done our annual vaccines, physicals, medical, random visits, and more here. We have our two favorite vets, Dr. Kanfer and Dr. Wills here that really take good care of my bunnies. The vet techs (who I love too but wish I got their names) are amazing as well. I couldn't trust anywhere else to take care of my two sweethearts. Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment. Someone always answers the phone during open hours and are always so kind to hear you out.

this place sucks! I took my rat in as emergency for a suspected URI and the doctor was uneducated about basic rat anatomy, and told me- my very clearly female rat- was a male. Male rats have huge testicles that cannot be visibly missed- and I can't believe a doctor, who can't even tell the difference between a male and female rat, was allowed to assess and diagnose my animal. The dr, after "double-checking" that my rat was female, continued to refer to her as a male during the entirety of care. Furthermore, my rat had started displaying these symptoms right before I needed to go out-of-town for a family emergency, and I had no time at all to research medical boarding for her. I asked if they would medically board her and the doctor said it's not advised as no staff comes in on the weekends- which upon speaking with a technician at checkout, they said staff do come in on weekends, and it would not be a problem to board her. I was told I would receive an estimate for the price of boarding via email and no one emailed me so I had to call back the next morning, upon which the receptionist was rude and told me that, again, it's not advised to medically board with them as no one would be available that Sunday. So first I was told no staff comes in on the weekends, then the story changes to staff does come in on the weekends, and now I'm being told someone will only be available on Saturday but not Sunday? and after I insisted they at least email me an estimate as I only had three days to figure something out while trying to juggle packing for a very stressful out-of-town emergency, they wanted a total of $1,488.00 to board my rat for 9 days. Mind you, I have three other rats, and it only makes sense that they be boarded all together as no one would be home to take care of any of them, and I also did not want to subject my sick rat to be alone and away from her siblings for that long. They wanted $4,911.00 to board 4 rats for 9 days. Oh, and apparently my three other rats would have to come in for an exam first before they would even be allowed to stay for boarding, to which no one told me this information at the emergency appointment. this place is a joke! I will not be coming back here, don't be fooled by the positive reviews and ratings.
