Customer Reviews
Advanced Veterinary Dentistry has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 45 reviews on Google
1 star is for their policy and process. What you should know is: a) they will review your pets medical records and history and then decide if the doctor will see you b) they are booked 3 weeks out Here is what happened to me. I called and said I wanted to see the vet because my dog has a broken tooth. They said ok and then proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions. After 5 mins they handed me to another person who kind of asked the same questions and they wanted to get my pets records. Pretty adamant about getting them. I provided the vets info and after that they said they will review the records and let me know later if my pet is a good candidate for a consultation. I thought ok and then she said then next available appt would be 3 weeks out. Why would they think that a dog with a broken tooth can wait three weeks. Entire process took 9 mins. Wasted of my time. They should have said up front that they won’t be able to see my pet this week. Also first time I heard of a doctor deciding if they will see a patient. The positive is they were very professional and provided me with a list of pet dentist.
I took my cat in for a second opinion for some dental problems (tartar buildup, inflammation, reabsorption, the works really) and got an exam with Dr. Lynn. After interacting with her and hearing a very detailed yet easy to understand explanation of the situation, I felt confident in getting my cat's dental work done here. She ended up having to get 5 teeth extracted, but this was not a surprise given how well this was explained initially. During the procedure Dr. Lynn made sure to call and confirm how many teeth were being extracted. After the procedure they brought out all the pictures + x-rays to give a detailed summary. The whole process, from the first exam to post operation was so professional and kind. I was initially SHOCKED at price quoted from my primary vet and I ended up calling around to almost every other vet in the Pasadena area. Given that Advanced Veterinary Dentistry is a specialist, does run a bit more expensive per line item. I thought it would be like 1.5x but it was really more like 1.1~1.2x in price.
My dog needed a molar extracted. Dr.Lynn was caring and knowledgeable. I'm very happy with how it went.
We learned during a non-anesthetic cleaning elsewhere that our elderly dog had a cracked molar. Took her to Dr. Lynn, who discovered the tooth was infected. We were terrified about anesthesia but were reassured by Dr. Lynn and her staff -- state of the art, thorough, tons of experience. Our dog was a little loopy for a couple of days, but Dr. Lynn checked in (over the weekend) and reassured us that it sounded normal for her age and what to watch for. Sure enough, our dog was back to normal on the third day and healed well. So glad to get that infected tooth out. The no-charge re-check weeks later was appreciated. Highly recommend!
My dog Bella has been saved from NOT having parts of her jaw removed or gums cut because these are wild requests from various vets. Here at Advanced, we have been able to keep her dental health up with cleaning, a root canal, and doctor's prescribed mouthwash. She's happy older pup and we both are grateful for Advanced Veterinary dental
Heartless people. The dog is suffering from tooth pain, can't find a comfortable place because of the pain, and they demand 2000+ or tell us to go somewhere else. The prices are impossible to afford; we, as migrants, don't have that kind of money.
Gave me a detailed estimate for my cat's dental procedure. So many vets wouldn't give me an estimate. Even though I didn't end up going to their practice, their customer service in providing an estimate was great.
