Everyone at Hess Ridge is amazing! My girls first started seeing Drs. Skarie and Frint when they were at another practice. They have always been so kind and really listen to any concerns I may have. Most importantly, my golden and lab love them, which helps make a scary vet visit a bit more enjoyable.

Dr. Frint is amazing. He gets down on the floor with the dog's and loves on them while he completes the pups wellness exams. The staff at Hess Ridge is amazing. Worth our drive from Aurora to have him as our vet. Murphy and Maggie love going there.

We have taken our dogs to see Dr Skarie and Dr Vaccari and both were awesome! They genuinely love what they do and care for your animals as if they were their own! One of our dogs is a puppy and had a well check and his neuter surgery there with Dr Vaccari and they took great care of him. The other is an 8 year old tripod who is very guarded/defensive and was having hip pain. Both doctors were very caring and knowledgeable, very thorough in their exams, and spent time answering all our questions, never making us feel rushed. Dr Skarie and Blake were very sweet and gentle with our older dog who gets anxious and was in a lot of pain. They made him as comfortable as possible, while still getting in a good physical exam, which is something other places have struggled with. All of their support staff is amazing as well and their facility is clean and beautiful. We were seen right on time and their pricing was better than other vets we have been to. We are even going to order our dog food through them now! They made practical recommendations and gave us lots of options going forward to provide the best care for our dogs. Dr. Frint always treats me and my pets with the utmost compassion and care. I have taken all of my pets to Hess Ridge for a range of care from wellness, to surgery, to end of life. I am always met with respect, compassion, and a knowledgeable care staff. I know the recommended treatments are made with my pets best interest in mind. Most recently my cat Merry began showing concerning litter box behaviors. Dr. Frint listened to my explanation of her symptoms closely, made diagnostic recommendations, and relayed the results thoroughly. He provided treatment options and followed up with me personally to ensure the treatment was working. Thanks to Dr. Frint and team, Merry is back to her happy playful self!

I have been looking for a new Vet for about a year. After all of the amazing reviews on Next Door about Hess Ridge I went in and spoke with the the Front Desk staff. They answered all of my questions and really made me feel cared for as a doggie mom. I made an appt for my 8 y/o Lab mix to see Dr. Skarie for vaccines and some regurgitation issues. Dr, Skarie was patient, kind, extremely knowledgeable and has the philosophy of trying the simplest (and least expensive) option first and moving on from there. Very impressed with everyone in this office and will be making an appt to take my 11 y/o Doxie in. Highly recommend!!

BEST VET EVER!! I adopted my 6-month-old Aussie in December 2025, and last night when I picked her up from doggie daycare, she was suddenly vomiting. I called Hess Ridge Animal Hospital around 5 PM, and even though I was going to arrive just 15 minutes before closing, they told me to bring her in right away. The team gave her fluids and anti-nausea medication and truly saved the day. What impressed me even more was the follow-up care — the next day they texted me three times and even called to check on my girl! Everyone there is amazing: the front desk staff, vet techs, and every doctor we’ve met have been top-notch. You can absolutely tell the difference between a locally owned veterinary hospital and one run by private equity. I have recommended this Vet to my son, my neighbors and my BFF - all have had the same level of care. THANK YOU, HESS RIDGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!

I am completely blown away by the high level of professionalism and care this clinic demonstrates. Every time we have had to call the clinic or bring our girl in for an earlier appointment they have always found a way to see her and make sure she was taken care of. The front desk team is exceptionally knowledgeable and kind, all the doctors we have met so far have also been so kind and supportive towards not only our cat and dog babies, but to us as the pet owners. We had to unfortunately put our girl Lizzie down on May 7th after discovering she had an aggressive cancer that was rapidly progressing. Truly one of the hardest things i’ve had to do in life. Not only did Dr. Vaccari do everything in her power to ensure our girl was comfortable in her end of life stages, she even went out of her way to speak to an oncologist for us to receive additional information and guidance for our sweet Lizzie. THANK YOU!! 🤍 When it came to the euthanasia, I was a mess. I was riddled with anxiety asking so many question. But, Jordan and Blake were truly phenomenal during this time. They not only answered any questions we may have had, but they reassured me and my partner so much. Truly, you guys are literal angels, and we couldn’t thank you enough for how gentle you were with our Lizzie girl. I forgot the name of the doctor who was putting our baby to eternal rest, but thank you to you as well. Your gentle words and compassion towards us is something we will forever be grateful for. We will continue to go to Hess Ridge for all of our fur babies 🫂🤍 Thank you again guys, truly.
