City Paws Emergency Care

First time here for a follow up with Dr. Tims, who was great as always! I wish I didn't have to see her & Destiny so often (first with my girl now with my boy) but I know we are in great hands! Followed from Blue Pearl which has gone tremendously down hill and after a horrible experience I will never return to for our specialty or emergency care. However the staff at City Paws was friendly & welcoming from start to finish. You can tell that everyone genuinely cares for their patients & their families. If anything were to arise in the future this would be my go-to spot. It is worth the drive from Yukon! The facility is clean with a comfortable lobby offering charging stations, private exam rooms (that are a mini lounge), offering snacks & beverages for families awaiting news on their loved ones.

Thank you to City Paws Emergency Care for taking excellent care of OKC’s pets, especially during a snow storm. As one of the only places in the city open yesterday, I brought my pup in who was dealing with a sudden eye issue. After a quick check in process, it was determined his condition was thankfully not as urgent as I worried it could be. Due to this I was given the option to leave him at the facility since it would likely be a couple of hours before the vet could get around to him. I felt very comfortable doing so due to the friendly and caring staff (shout out Hensley!) so was able to go home and take care of my other dogs while Nacho stayed to be checked out. I received a phone call after a couple of hours letting me know what treatment had been provided, his diagnosis and that he was ready for pick up. He was sent home with some eye drops for continued treatment and is already looking and feeling much much better today! Nacho sends his love, thank you for taking such good care of my boy 🩵

We were referred to Dr. Tims by our vet who was stumped when trying to determine the cause of Molly’s illness. Multiple rounds of antibiotics didn’t help, her symptoms were progressing, and we were desperate for answers. Dr. Tims took on our case and Dr. Newcomb performed what would turn out to be a life-saving surgery. Dr. Newcomb took much time to help me understand the entire plan for surgery and make an informed decision; I’m thankful he shared Gunner’s story with me. Dr. Tims has not missed a beat following up and her team is so patient with my feisty Molly girl. I don’t have enough good things to say about the staff, facility, and care that we have received here. From the, "Hi Molly’s Mom!" by Aubrey when we walk in the door to the compassion behind every conversations, I’m forever grateful to the entire team!

I am extremely grateful for this pet hospital! My poor golden Luna had to have an emergency surgery and I couldn’t ask for a better team of Doctors and vet techs to help her. All of the staff were so kind and educated me every step of the way on what her treatment plan was. They encouraged me to visit as often as I wanted and never seemed irritated when I did come because I’m sure it’s a little bit of a pain to get them unhooked from all of their tubes. They knew my girl would heal the best and be happiest at home, so the goal was to get her home as quick as possible. That being said, they made sure she met her milestones before leaving. I am so thankful to have come here and I know my little puppers was well cared for.

First experience with City Paws was amazing! Brought my senior Yorkie in to get consultation on her senior needs and kidney issues and they were really flexible with my work schedule. They were understanding, thorough, and transparent. Aubry is the best and worked with me so well to get my appointment set up and made sure my primary vet records got sent to them and Dr. Tim's and Destiny were both great, friendly, super helpful, and made me feel comfortable and confident that my dog would be safe there. I love that they have a space themed ceiling projector to keep dogs distracted and calm while they do scans on them. ❤️

I went through the most traumatic day of my life last Tuesday when I had to rush my service dog, Harley, to City Paws. Losing your best friend and your literal lifeline (again, service dog) is a pain I cannot begin to explain. But that day could have been much worse had I gone to another clinic. All of the staff was incredible, caring for my baby with love and tenderness while she struggled to survive, continually seizing on their table. And the way that they allowed me to grieve without judgment, without rushing me, makes me want to recommend them to everyone. A special shoutout to vet tech Miranda - she performed the procedure to end life very calmly and gently, with love and compassion, even shedding a few tears herself for a dog that she had never met. She gave me time to say goodbye beforehand and sat with me afterwards, ensuring that I wasn’t alone. She was my godsend for that day, and I am forever grateful for all of the team, but especially Miranda, for the way that Harley and I were cared for.

I genuinely could not be more grateful for the staff here. We called earlier in the day incredibly stressed because our kitty popped a stitch after being spayed elsewhere, and immediately over the phone they were so attentive and transparent about what we could be looking at price wise as well as what our cat may have to deal with. We brought her in very shortly after and were greeted by two of the kindest techs I’ve EVER met, and they were so gentle with our cat and it was clear that they really care about the wellbeing of your animal and love their jobs. As nervous as I was, everyone was so kind and professional and the experience itself was so calming and reassuring. Dr. Craft was absolutely wonderful and such a pleasure to work with, and the cost of everything was SO much better than what we anticipated. I can’t recommend them enough if you ever have a need for an emergency vet!! Bonus points for our cat warming up to everyone fairly quickly, cats are great judges of character and we feel like we made the right choice coming here!
