Dr. Jones and his staff are fantastic! They treat you and your furry ones like part of their family, always welcoming and friendly. They really care about the well-being of your pets and explain in detail any problems or concerns. They're pretty sharp, too. We're so grateful they discovered our Dobie's heart problem BEFORE they could have fatally put him under anesthesia. It's worth the 1.5 hour drive for us. Thanks Dr. Jones and team!

Dr. Jones and his team are fantastic! They are always there to provide the best care and cuddles to my baby dog (since he was a puppy - now 75 lb Aussie/Husky Mix). Dr. Jones is also always there to answer all my questions no matter how silly or neurotic, sometimes over a beer if I run into him at one of the local breweries. He usually answers all my questions before I even have to ask... making sure I have enough information to feel comfortable and confident but not too much to where I am confused and overwhelmed helping me be the best pet parent I can be. Everyone in the office has such a warm demeanor creating a welcoming and calming environment. Dr. Jones comes from a long line of amazing Vets and his wife is a Vet, too! I trust him completely. He's just the best and he went to Auburn, too! War Eagle!

We are so thankful we made the change to Portside. From the front desk to the vet techs to Dr. Jones this team is wonderful and professional and the facility is clean and bright. Our 11 year old Goldendoodle needed surgery and everything went well. We highly recommend them!

Dr. Jones and his entire staff are the most wonderful people! From the second you step foot into their building, you are greeted with love and compassion! My sweet pup, Poppy is actually excited to go see them! They took me and my pup under their wing and made us both better with their unwavering commitment to excellence and genuine caring. I constantly refer people there because our amazing experiences. Sometimes, you find people that are in the right line of work and were born to do what they do. We absolutely love Portside Vet and the entire staff. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about the animals. Dr. Jones is amazing — knowledgeable, thorough, and takes the time to explain everything without ever making you feel rushed. Amanda and Sydney are also wonderful and always go above and beyond to make visits easy and comfortable. We trust this team completely and are so grateful to have found such an incredible vet. I can’t imagine taking our dog elsewhere, we love them!!

I can't thank Dr.Jones and his wonderfully caring and amazing staff enough! My Rosie,4 year old Pug, was in distress from bladder stones. Our vet on James Island could not see her due to the Thanksgiving Holiday approaching. So he recommended Dr.Jones' and his brand new state of the art practice. The best thing is the kindness and care they gave sweet Rosie. The vet techs were very thorough and observant and full of love for the animals (and their humans). I highly recommend Portside Veterinary Hospital and I feel blessed that Rosie was the first surgical patient at the hospital. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Portside Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Jones are AWESOME!!! Our bestest buddy Max just turned 16!! We had tried numerous other Vets in the area when Max was 11-12 yrs old. Sadly, at least three of them told us Max was at the end of his road. We refused to believe it, as Max was still so strong and lively. Max has had some ups and downs, but Dr Jones never gave up on him, and has been so patient with all our questions along the way. Max still walks twice a day, and loves playing with all the neighborhood dogs. We couldn't thank Dr Jones and his team enough for helping give us all these extra years and special memories with Max!!
