Comet Veterinary Hospital

The Doc and his team have taken care of my three rescue animals since they have been 8-9 weeks old. I have brought Wally in after an emergency bludgeoning by a stick, a cat not eating for days due to stress from my pit and other assorted items. Doc and his team puts up with me and takes great care of my animals like they were their own! Prices are darn reasonable also from what my friends and neighbors say, have referred two of them to Comet.

I’ve been taking animals to this clinic for about 20 years. Dr. Recupero Is an excellent veterinarian who provides comprehensive care without over-treating or causing unnecessary stress to the animals. I completely trust Dr. Recupero and the wonderful staff with my dog and wouldn’t take her anywhere else.

My pup of 11 years passed away peacefully at home after a hard fight with cancer. New to the area, I chose a clinic close by to take my pup to for the cremation: Comet Veterinary Clinic in Mesa AZ. The clinic took my pup in, staff and DVM very professional and friendly and less than a week later I already have the remains back; a pretty carved wooden urn, a paw print and a sympathy card certifying cremation details. I’m impressed at how well this was handled, how quick the service was and while not too important, that the price was below anything I’ve seen so far. Thank you to the Clinic staff!

NO COMPASSION AT ALL FOR A WORRIED PET OWNEER. we came in at 5:45pm. i know it was 15 minutes before closing but we had an emergency. my dog has NEVER reversed sneezed and we saw her eat something and she started wheezing. since she had NEVER done that and she looked like she couldn’t breathe at all and we were really worried. it seemed like she was choking bc we saw her try to eat something. the ENTIRE staff was so rude and it was obvious we were in a panic. they didn’t even want to see us to just double check that she was okay and the front staff had an attitude. the doctor looked at the dog on the ground and said it was a reverse sneeze and walked away with an attitude. no one seemed to care and just rolled their eyes. sorry i wanted to make sure my dog was okay? they all could have been nicer and showed a little compassion for an animal whether or not it was serious or not. rudest staff i have ever met and i don’t usually complain. plus the doors were locked at 5:45pm when they close at 6

This is a no nonsense vet that I appreciate. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind. Everyone took very good care of us and I am glad to have entrusted my very sick dog to their care today. Dr. Recupero saved the life of my extremely sick shelter kitten. He knows what to do and the proper care of your pets.

Decent prices, good vet care every time. Very open and clear about what is going on. Have 5 cats and 3 dogs, this place does a great job caring for them and won't squeeze the blood from you to pay for it.
