Shelbyville Road Veterinary Clinic is staffed with professionals who genuinely care about your pet friend. Our experience with Drs. Schmidtchen and Watt has been A+. One of the best things is that they take you into an exam room immediately at your appointed time, and the Dr. magically magically enters right on time as if she were waiting for you. Imagine if your general practitioner did that. One minor glitch in the matrix is that spay and neuters cost literally 10x what you will pay at the Shelby Co. Human Society, but that doesn't detract from the professional service and excellent experience you receive on every visit.

I love the Shelbyville Road Veterinary clinic. I have had nothing but great care from all of the vets there My dog is now 12 and in failing health. She has been seeing Dr. Marsili for care and she has shown herself to be the most caring vet I could ask for.

Our family is so thankful we found this wonderful clinic to take care of our dogs. They provided amazing care to our senior dogs until we unfortunately had to say goodbye. They were so compassionate and comforting during this difficult time and went above and beyond to show support to our animals and us. We never have to wait for an appointment and the receptionists and techs are always so friendly and helpful. We usually see Dr Watt and cannot recommend her enough although we have used all of the vets here and theyre all so knowledgeable and kind. We now have a new puppy and are again so thankful to be able to have Shelbyville Road help us care for him. They’re the best!

We brought Callie, our elderly Great Pyrenees, to Dr. Ruth Schmidtchen, following some high recommendations from multiple friends in WAGS Pet Therapy of Ky. They were spot-on! We were greeted by a wonderful team of folks the second we walked through the door. They all loved on our girl, all the way through. Dr. Ruth continued the lovin', checked Callie out thoroughly, gave her a cold laser treatment, and gave us all kinds of great information. She followed up with a treatment/exercise plan, and we are feeling a lot more confident and hopeful that we can get our sweet bear some relief from her arthritis. And even more importantly, Callie just adored Dr. Ruth, gazed into her eyes, and totally relaxed into her massage! We will be scheduling more treatments very shortly. Welcome to Team Callie, y'all!

Her traditional and holistic approach, including acupuncture and laser therapy, has significantly benefited our pets’ overall well-being. All the ladies at Shelbyville Road veterinary clinic, are all so nice and very caring. My dog Roxy loves all the love and attention she gets. I recommend everyone give them a chance to take of all your fur babies needs.

Maggie and I have always had a great experience with the Shelbyville Road Veterinary Clinic. Everyone in the clinic is very congenial and they make you feel at home. They always speak to Maggie and pet her, putting her at ease. They also are very prompt at getting us back to see the vet. Each of the vets are very caring and take the time to listen to concerns in order to provide the best outcome. I highly recommend this clinic!
