Our English Bulldog and French Bulldog get the best care here! Took a chance when we moved here 4 years ago and it was the best decision! Dr. Hoffmeister and staff are wonderful with our pups. Very caring and compassionate. 10/10 would recommend!

Dr. Keith made one of the hardest days of my life a little more bearable. I just recently moved to Louisville and she took on the care of my two dogs, one of which has been sick for months. She conducted as many tests as I was comfortable with to get to the bottom of things (with zero pressure to do/not do any of the above). When I found out my tiny angel had cancer, she was right there with me in the room and provided a hug/tears of her own. She truly cares about the animals she takes care of. On the day of Calin’s trip across the rainbow bridge, she was delicate, caring, thoughtful and patient with us. I 10/10 recommend this office to any pet parent.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my experience with your practice. I had been bringing my dog, Penny, to your office for several years and always felt she received thoughtful and attentive care. I truly appreciated the support your team provided over that time. Recently, Penny became very ill, and your team worked to assess her condition and ran tests before recommending that I take her to the ER for further evaluation. Unfortunately, her condition worsened, and I ultimately had to make the very difficult decision to let her go due to severe brain swelling. I understand that her records and outcome were shared back with your office. Given our history and the recent visits during her illness, I was surprised and disappointed that I did not receive any follow-up communication or condolence from the practice. I share this feedback not out of frustration, but from a place of appreciation for the care you provided over the years. In situations like this, even a brief acknowledgment or expression of sympathy can mean a great deal to clients who are going through such a difficult loss. Thank you for the care you gave Penny over the years. I wanted to share this perspective in hopes it may help enhance the client experience in the future.

Dr. Blake is the best vet in town! My cat Delilah is always super anxious going to the vet and hes the first one that she loves. He helped my lab Marley finally figure out her diarrhea issues too! Super caring and I'm super grateful to have him as my vet. Tommy his assistant rocks! Thank you both.

We’ve been using Animal Medical Center for our 4 cats for over 20 years, and the care has been exceptionally good. Both Dr. Hofmeister and Dr Allen have been nothing short of amazing! We had to make the difficult decision today to say goodbye to our 18 year old cat. Dr Keith examined her first to help assure us that we were truly making the right decision. She really gave us the clarity my husband and I truly needed. ~And the staff was most comforting, too. If you’re looking for exceptional care for your fur-babies, look no further. The staff at AMI is hands down, the BEST in town!❤️❤️❤️

Last Thursday morning (12-4-25) I had to have my 11yr old morkie Kingston put to sleep. I can't think of the dr lady's name bcuz it's been so emotional for me, but she was so kind, loving understanding and sensitive with us (him & me). I picked up his ashes this morning (12-10-25)and it was the same kindness with the other ladies at the office as well as the same dr lady. For me when kindness is extended at times like this "thank u" just doesn't seem to be sufficient but its all I have. Without reservation I would suggest taking your sick animal to them. For me it was more than financial for them. They genuinely care & it shows thru their actions which is more important than words. I want to extend my most heartfelt sincere thank you and virtual hugs🫂to the entire staff there for the kindness you extended to me at this most difficult time. I also dont want to fail to mention the first time i took Kingston there was as a walk-in emergency because i thought they were an animal hospital. Even tho i didn't have an appt they didnt turn me away. Dr Blake saw Kingston anyway and treated him as tho he'd been seeing him for years and worked out a payment plan for me. I cant say enough positive things about this group of people. They are all in the right profession. We need people like them. All animal hospitals and clinics are not like them.🙇🏽‍♀️

I have been going to Animal Medical Center for about 20 years and am very pleased with the care for my cats and dogs over the years. I would highly recommend AMC as they care deeply for your pets, are knowledeable and make sure to spend time to answer all my questions.
