Walked in to request an appointment for Buddy (dog) as I suspected he had an ear infection. They scheduled him in but first prescribed him meds as he needed to take meds 3 hours prior in order to be able to go into his rear and avoid him moving around. Turns out he had an ear infection on both ears do to his allergies so he also needed to get an allergy shot every 4 to 8 weeks. Their service is always the best!

I went here about 6 months ago and it was a terrible experience. Dr Lisa is a pill pusher, literally walked in first time meeting me and my dog and before even examining him, had a list of medications she wanted to put him on. Also it was a super unprofessional first visit. 2 and a half hours before I decided to just leave. She walked out of the room TWICE while answering a question. The 2nd time after waiting another 20mins (at the 2.5hr mark), I walked to the front desk and they said she's super busy since there was an accident during a routine surgery. But I could see her chatting to another pet and owner, so she was just juggling different appointments in a really unprofessional way. No routine bloodwork, no gameplan for my dog, just 2.5hrs of time before I decided it is not worth it. I knew if this was how I was treated for a first time visit when my dog was OK, I would not want to be dependent on them if something was wrong or for a procedure. Wish I hadn't paid the visit fee, it wasn't even a complete visit. Vets are hard to find in LA. this is not the one, that's for sure.

Okay, I've been using this vet for awhile. And a few others now since they're closed Sun/Mon. Prices here are definitely a little on the higher side, that being said I've never felt pressured into further treatments here and they work with me where they can to lighten the bill. The vet spends her time with us, and the techs are good. And as a plus they try and fit us in asap when needed. Not a perfect vet, and it has lead me to further bills down the road, but that's also par the course with a senior dog and FIV cat. That being said, it's definitely one of the least stressful vets around.

I will say, my mastiff feels very comfortable going here. They have a calm environment and pheromones pumping from the outlets. This had us feeling good after bad experiences elsewhere. One issue we have is that the vets nor vet techs ever remember our baby or us, even when they should have a file on her and have been in multiple times over a couple weeks for a specific issue. The biggest issue we have is they recommended a follow up visit for our baby's ear infection. I shit you not, they did not even look at her ear. They immediately applied pre-needle ointment to her legs for bloodwork. $65 exam fee for a recommended follow up and pushed $400+ in bloodwork before even looking at her ears. They do some good things here, but they are PRICE GOUGERS to the extreme.

Excellent service, staff, and boarding facilities. Very understanding of budget and practice minimal restraint. A hidden gem for pet owners who care about their pets enough to take them somewhere that isn't just trying to flip customers.

Avoid at all costs. A staff member at this office disclosed my personal information - full name, phone number, and medical records - to a third-party insurance company without my authorization, knowledge, or consent. I had called to request a medical record clarification because it did not reflect a diagnosis nor confirmation. Instead of addressing that request, a staff member named Christy decided in their professional judgement the best thing to do was to independently email a pet insurance company on my behalf, sharing protected client and patient information in direct violation of California Business and Professions Code Section 4857. I never authorized this contact. I never asked for it. I was not informed it was happening until I was CC'd on the email after the fact. Re-read that. This is not what you want for the level of competency handling you, is it? When your vet's office takes it upon themselves to share your private information with outside companies you never asked them to contact, that is not customer service. That is a breach of California veterinary confidentiality law. The attending veterinarian was not even in the office at the time. I am currently pursuing this through formal channels. If you value the privacy of your information and your pet's medical records, be aware that this office does not appear to share that priority. The "I'm sorry" is not going to fix breaking the law and violating me.
