I am furious with Ailurophile Cat Clinic. I called urgently because my cat vomited roundworms, and Jessica (the manager) was rude, argumentative, and even hung up on me. After asking reasonable questions about my cat's care, the vet denied me service and canceled the medication I had previously requested for my cat through them. This is completely unacceptable. They showed zero professionalism or concern for my cat’s health. I would not trust this clinic with any pet. I called Lake Lansing Road Animal Clinic and I would prefer their care and professionalism any-day.
We had been taking our three cats to another nearby animal vet and I was interested in switching once I learned about vets in the area that are specifically for cats. I figured they must be good woth cats if thats what they see all day, compared to vets that see a mix of animals. I looked up reviews for the different cat-specific vets in the area and fortunately, they all seemed to have great reviews. After calling a few places to schedule, I chose this one because it was more affordable than the others. Their price for three cats to be examined and vaccinated was a lot more affordable. The doctor was impressive with our cats. He had a lovely way of examining them and could read their personalities instantly. His connection with the kitties really matters to me as a cat parent, but also he answered my multiple questions at length. He was great at educating and informing us about our cats health, wellbeing and prevention. They recommended and gave us a quote for a full dental cleaning which was also about $100 less than the other quote I've gotten in the area. We will be booking the dental cleanings for our kitties soon. I'm happy to be able to take my cats to this vet. He's a great cat doctor
I’ve had cats there two years now and love this place, but understand why it’s not for everyone. This place is old school! Costs are reasonable, vet is honest and not pushing products/tests/supplements, they obviously love and know cats. The vet is direct and doesn’t waste time on small talk- I’m fine with that! I bet he became a vet because he loves cats so much- not because he wants to deal with cat owners all day 😂 I started with them bc a cat I inherited had a growing abscess and didn’t have a current vet- they got us in quickly and were patient when my boy pulled the drain tubes out 2x! The total was around $300 which I found reasonable.
This the best and only place I'll bring my cats. Doctor is great and the staff will go above and beyond to take care of you and your animals.
I called to get my cat seen by this clinic. The receptionist was not nice at all. Very uncomfortable speaking with her. Seemed like she didnt even wanna accept my cat nor even want to try to help and get my cat scheduled. Would not recommend this place. Going with someone that actually cares.
The Vet himself was fine, he seemed attentive and gentle with my kitten. My rating is based on the fact that they have a resident cat, who they let run up on my 3 month old kitten while I was not present. The vet tech then returned to tell me my kitten is unsocialized and they will need to sedate her for future exams if she continues behaving that way. Cats are territorial and if the area she was taken to already smelled like the resident cat, she was probably defensive to begin with. I think it’s unprofessional to let a personal pet in contact with clients without prior permission from me and then my cat on return. I was very hopeful about this cat clinic but after my experience and talking with others I will not be returning.
Terrific experience! 10/10! The veterinarian knew his stuff and was great with our cat, Chepito. I was also surprised at how reasonably priced it was. We took our other cat (Chasca) to a different clinic previously and paid over $300 for just a check-up and some antibiotics. This clinic did a check-up, provided vaccinations, antibiotics, and performed ear surgery keeping Chepito over night(!!!!) and it was only $370! The surgery was a great success and Chepito is happy and back to his normal self within a day. If you have a feline friend, I strongly recommend you visit the Ailurophile Cat Clinic if needed!
