Dr. Tani, the other drs., the staff, and everyone is really helpful and focused on your pet here. We have a difficult, defensive dog in Dante. The team here is patient and understanding and have been able to get him to trust them even when he is in pain. We are so glad we switched qnd have been coming here for over 10 years. My cat's foster recommended Dr. Kim to me and I've been taking her here for years. He is amazing, very friendly and knowledgable, breaks things down so it's easy to understand the medical jargon, and is very clear on treatment plans, costs, and alternative options. He was able to pick out signs cancer before any issues became apparent and my cat was able to start chemo treatment well before it became serious. She's happier and healthier than ever thanks to this practice, and I'll always be grateful for how well they take care of me and my cat. No matter how far I live I will always bring my pets to Dr. Kim

I can’t express how much I adore this animal hospital. This is the only place I’ve taken my animals in the last 10+ years. I currently have two cats and live in Costa Mesa but will happily commute here for their needs. Dr. Cheron and Dr. Kim are absolutely fantastic. They truly care about my cats and are beyond kind and caring. They offered to help shelter one of my cats when my partner and I went through a traumatic apartment fire. That’s when I knew they were our forever vets. They truly are compassionate beings. This establishment follows up with my animals after every visit. They are always so kind and polite over phone and in person. If you ever need to leave a voicemail they always get back in a timely manner. I can’t express the gratitude I have for the team at SOCAH.

Dr. Tani has cared for our dogs since he was a puppy, almost a decade. I no longer live close to Lake Forest, but I still take the 30 to 45 minute drive to see her. She helped us navigate a year long relocation to Japan, and always takes the time to listen and really figure out what is going on when something goes wrong. As our dog gets older now, I can’t imagine caring for him with anyone else besides her.

SOCVETS have been taking care of our pets for more than 10 years. We have experienced consistently superior care throughout. Once again, Dr. Kim helped us understand the possibilities our cats' condition presented, and options for care. We appreciate the down to earth, honest conversations.

This review has been long overdue. Dr. Kim has been caring for Kiko since he was a baby, and we are incredibly grateful. He and his team are professional, knowledgeable, and always patient with our Shiba’s sensitive nature, making every visit comfortable. We have referred multiple friends, all of whom have been truly grateful for Dr. Kim’s care. We feel very lucky to have found such a compassionate and trustworthy team. Highly recommend.
