This was my first time ever bringing my cat Socks to the vet and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everyone was so kind, patient, and genuinely caring which made socks feel very comfortable. I really appreciated how transparent they were about pricing they walked me through all my options and explained what was needed now vs what could wait. Pricing was fair and clearly explained which I’m super thankful for. I also love that this is a cat-only clinic. You can tell they truly understand cats and know how to handle them gently and calmly. Overall just a great experience from start to finish. I’m really glad I found them and will absolutely be bringing Socks back.
Young Vet okied her helper to give advice without discussing with her first (Vet) when called in with my cat having complications with medication. Asked if she discussed with Vet she said no does not have to. When back and forth 3 phone calls. She called me back and advised as though that was Vets recommendations. Discovered Vet was not there that day. As a nurse no assistant should give nedical advice without advising Vet and getting advice from Vet first. This is my fur baby Did not take my fur baby back. Went back to Dr. Wexler Clinic
My experience with the Cat Clinic was absolutely phenomenal. Me and my cats happily make the 1 hour drive because nowhere else is at good with cats as they are. They are truly magicians. One of my cats is sweet but fiesty, and she was so comfortable there that she let them chip her, draw blood, take her temp, give her fluids through a needle, and all the other scary vet things. I wish I could thank individual people for how amazing they are, but no one really stood out. It is hard to stand out when everyone there goes so far above and beyond. They are super accommodating and really understand the deep love some of us have for our fur babies. Your cat depends on you to take them to a good vet, and there is no better choice than here.
I have been coming here for several years now. What enticed me to begin here was knowing they specialize in cats rather than just treat cats in addition to other animals. Cat people just KNOW other cat people in a way some can't relate with and that makes me feel better about the choice of here. My cat Lor is a very sweet baby but he also has a lot of anxiety around people and of course, going to the vet like many cats do. They do their best to make sure he is not overwhelmed with his visit. He has been here for annual vaccinations such as rabies shots, dental cleanings, stool samples, blood work ups, flea/heart worm preventative recommendations, anxiety med recs like gabapentin and more. Dr. Jasmine is a very nice vet and seems to remember all her kittys she deals with and I know there are a LOT. I have a co-worker who has also been bringing her kitties here for many years and speaks highly of this practice and the people here. I really like the option that this place gives of allowing communication through email or text because sometimes during work days, it is hard to take a call or reach out so this makes things much smoother in those cases. Thanks for all you guys do and Lor thanks you too even if he doesn't always show it the best way 🙂
I moved from wayyyy far up North (Michigan/Chicago) to Lafayette about 2 years ago with my cat BoomBoom to start my doctoral studies. It was a really stressful move—for both of us hah! Boom has always been indoor/outdoor. I tried going to a vet with him when we first moved here, but got weird vibes upon walking in—promptly left. A while later, Boom came inside with an open wound—Cat clinic was SUPER amazing and was able to take a look and flush out (what turned out to be an abscess🙁) within a half hour of my calling. The staff is amazing. Dr. J is incredibly kind and detail oriented. Ended up having to do two rounds of stitches and a couple nights stay at the clinic. I’m so very grateful for the attention and care they gave mah best friend. 🫀 I think the only hiccup I had/felt was during bill talk—they offered two different payment assistance programs are only 3rd party payment programs. Whereas back North the vet I went to had their own in-practice payment plan option that didn’t involve sharing personal info to 3rd party. Highly recommend!
These people are angels! Not that other places aren't great, but these folks go above and beyond. They'll return calls asap as well (even when closed/closing) and they really care about your kitties. They did dental procedures on two of my boys; one ended up having a mass removed on his neck at 13 years old, and our 4 year old kitty had some teeth to be pulled, both of which were surprises. Not only that, but they were fantastic and super transparent on the severity of my 13 yr old cat's acute kidney injury and told us to go to LSU ASAP - he survived and is actually doing fantastic, and if they hadn't been so quick to call us and get us in, I doubt he would have been so lucky. He is back to running and playing and chowing down. Thank you!!
Such wonderful people! They truly care about the experience of both you and your fur baby. The environment is comfortable and very clean.
