VCA Meadow Hills Animal Hospital

Very friendly. My dog loves going to the vet to get her peanut butter and whipped cream treat. They take time to explain things. They also have a great option to sign up for a care club and pay a monthly fee then all vet checks are covered. Definitely makes sense if you have frequent visits. It covers itself and more and makes it more affordable.

I was running late for an appointment at 6:10. I was literally minutes away when I was called at 6:11, first asking if I was still planning to come in, as soon as I told them I was almost there they said the dr wanted to reschedule because I was late but she would talk to dr. I got there 5 minutes late and was told I the dr was not able to see my dog because I was15 minutes late. I showed her my conformation texts showing I was 5 minutes late. She insisted that I was 15 and someone changed my appointment. I asked to talk to the dr and I was told he was on the phone. So he wasn’t even available any way. I am extremely disappointed with the way I have been treated by the same staff member for the past year after almost 20 years of bringing my pets here. The only thing that has kept me going here is convenience in time they open….

I’ve never been to a vet clinic that has been more kind, helpful, or considerate of the animals they treat. My two cats have gone to VCA for the past 5 years, and Doctor Malisha Small has shown true compassion during every single visit of ours. In my last visit (the one prepping us to drive halfway across the state for a cross-country move), Dr. Small helped set me and my girls up for success, and even looked up the area we were moving to, to let us know of medical concerns in the area and what we can do to help my cats once we move down there. When my parents brought their senior cat in at the end of her life, the team at VCA helped care for her and set their senior cat up for a gentle passing without pain at home, even though my parents didn’t have that much money. Dr. Small truly CARES about the animals she works with. They have an amazing team who answers texts promptly and explain things with full details, rather than just bits. They truly care about animals there. If I wasn’t so far away, I’d 100% make the drive back to VCA meadow hills just for Doctor Small and her team. From a crazy cat lady of two, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all so much. And for folks who are looking for a vet to go to, I cannot recommend VCA meadow hills enough. 😻🐱

The staff at Meadow Hills are very caring and compassionate. Dr Small was very good a explaining procedure etc. I would seriously recommend this business to anyone that needs care for their pets. And the fees charged are very competitive.

took my dog in week and half ago for breathing issues told them he had blood in stool and it could be a blockage from a raw hide chewy. told them he is panting way hard to even go to the bathroom. they said probably just him passing it through stomach... Dr told me he will be ok if he does poop that what he was concerned about.i was confused but trust his advice Today we had to put him down.im just devastated . a miss diagnose fluid built up in his lungs and was suffocating .i just wish i would have taken him somewhere else i could have save him .Skywalker was only 10 years old..do your self the justice of taking your family members somewhere were they care more about our animals friends and not their pockets

The woman that is a vet there was oblivious to the fact that my friend’s dog had colon cancer for two years….and my friend finally went and got a second opinion. The new vet immediately recognized that it was colon cancer. And the blood test was $180 vs. the VCA cost of $1,800. That is literally a 1,000% price increase. The VCA wanted to put the dog under which was unnecessary and very costly. I love that dog….and I’m very upset at the idea that he has been needlessly suffering because of inept vets. I understand that diagnosing things is difficult; but the vet at Pasco Animal Hospital did it right away which shows that the VCA is the vastly inferior choice. VCA thought that it was swollen anal glands but it wasn’t, it was colon cancer polyps.

Milo, my cat had stopped eating and drinking. I made the appointment and had limited funds. They worked within my budget and this morning Milo is responding to the medication, eating and drinking and on the road to recovery. Can't thank them enough. They are amazing at VCA.
