Petfolk Veterinary & Urgent Care - Huntersville

My fur baby has extreme anxiety and often struggles with new places and new people touching him. At Petfolk, they handled him with so much care and kindness. We had the pleasure of having Anna to assist us through his appointment and she was a dream. She answered all my questions and was so gentle with my very vocal and anxious boy! I will be a reoccurring client here at this Petfolk location and recommend it to anyone looking for a primary and emergency vet clinic.

I discovered Petfolk while urgently searching for help when my rescue Shih Tzu mix, Charlie, suddenly cried out in pain. Their website was easy to use and I was able to book the last urgent appointment of the day, complete forms online, and arrive within an hour. Dr. Amber Moore was fantastic—gentle, efficient, and very mindful of Charlie’s trauma history after being rescued from a breeding/hoarding situation. The staff even stayed 30 minutes after closing to answer questions and never made us feel rushed. Dr. Moore suspected a possible bulging disc/IVDD and helped relieve his immediate pain. She gave us clear treatment options and two price quotes, which I appreciated since emergency vet visits can be extremely expensive. What really sets Petfolk apart is their text-based care team. They’ve continued checking on Charlie, answering questions quickly, reviewing his chart, and even calling to follow up on concerns I texted in. Their system is organized, responsive, and truly caring. A week later they are still assisting us—excellent follow-up care and customer support. I highly recommend Petfolk for primary care or urgent vet visits. Just know they aren’t a full animal hospital, but they provide referrals if advanced care is needed.

I moved here and was in a pinch with my 14 year old babe. He unfortunately went ill overnight and was having strokes. He didn’t have a vet near here and Petfolk was able to get him in immediately. The vet was very kind and empathetic of the situation. The atmosphere was very calm and clean, waiting area is extremely clean! You check in on an iPad which made the check in process seamless. Unfortunately having to make a difficult decision of putting my doggie down they made the process so easy, let us sit in the room with him and feed him treats (chocolate & pizza lol), and gave us private time that we needed. We did have him cremated there and it was priced reasonably, they followed up with us and called us once they had his ashes and paw print. Their pricing is actually way more affordable than my previous vet. Overall we had a good experience, I loved how clean and modern everything is, highly recommend. And I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff here for being kind during a hard time!

As a first time customer I found the Veterinarian and staff to be very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I left knowing that my 7 week old puppy received great medical care (immunizations) at a reasonable price. Third round of immunizations today and my Pup gets excited when we pull into the parking lot (he remembers the treats).

Our visit was great! The staff is friendly and professional and very thorough. I think it’s safe to Nala loves it here. They are very clean and the space is really nice. The doctor and staff are also very knowledgeable. I’m so happy to have stumbled upon Petfolk!!

We are new to North Carolina and when our baby, Teddy, a Goldendoodle got sick we were worried not only because he was sick, but that we had no connections with a veterinary service. I read Pet Folk bio, and the care, compassion and professionalism they espouse was experienced 10-fold. Staff including doctors and techs were caring and supportive, provided follow-up check-ins and support by phone and text. Highly recommended Pet Folk Huntersville!

I recently discovered Petfolk after witnessing my poor pup urinating blood. I was able to quickly set up an account and make an appointment for that day. The staff was super caring and friendly. They were very good about keeping my budget in mind after I told them that cost was a priority to me. They prescribed my pup some meds and one of them I was having difficulty finding at a local pharmacy. I left a message asking for help and my call back was quick AND they had already located a pharmacy within driving distance that had the prescription. I was floored at the level of customer service they provided. I will be a returning customer and I will make sure to recommend them to family and friends!
