Today was one of the worst days of my life because I had to put my sweet 13-year-old cat down. The staff was impeccable and showed so much compassion towards me and gave me as much time as I needed to be with my sweet boy before he went. I am very grateful for their professionalism and compassion that they said, and I will recommend them in the future.

Referred to CVS for my dog(Honey). She had masses that needed to be removed. Prognosis was not great, but the surgeons were fantastic. The surgery was more involved than originally discussed. There were times we weren't sure she would fully recover. The staff was amazing. They provided updates during the day and talked with us when we came to visit. It was eight long days of worrying and praying before our Honey came home. I honestly don't think she would have had this great outcome if we had taken her anywhere else.

My small 11 and a half year old little Yorkie mix rescue named Scrappy-Doo that I have had his whole life was attacked by a large Mastiff Great Dane mix. My dog is a 4 lb sweet little boy. I thought that I was going to lose him. But when I took him to Carolina veterinary specialist Huntersville the care that they gave him was above and beyond and they were able to save my sweet little baby. I'm not a rich person. I was married for 20 years and lost him 3 years ago and have been struggling to make ends meet since then. They talked me through the expenses for the procedures, and then they were able to help me work through being able to pay for that very large unexpected medical bill With alternative options like credit Care. The help they gave went above and beyond your every day emergency veterinarian care. The absolute care and concern from the entire staff was completely unexpected, but most appreciated. Scrappy and I will be forever grateful till our last breath to Carolina Veterinary Specialist Huntersville.

Words cannot express my gratitude for the exemplary service provided by Carolina Vet for my critically injured mini Bernedoodle. My sweet 3 year old boy, Ziggy, is alive today and will be able to live a normal life due to CVS!! I arrived at the ER last Saturday night with a severely traumatized dog who a local GP vet had told me was NOT septic but I didn’t believe that so I went to CVS ER just in case. He was in fact septic and near death. Dr Manukov was on duty and intelligent, articulate, and kind. She whisked him away, ran tests, diagnosed him, stabilized him, and called a surgeon at 11 pm asking her to come in the morning for exploratory surgery. The next morning, Dr Gouldin (a board certified surgeon) operated on him, identified and fixed the problem, and called me to explain everything in detail. She’s called every day since. Follow up care has been excellent and well explained. The entire staff has been so compassionate and helpful. YES it’s a busy place and you sometimes have to wait for triage - it’s an ER!! Cost: not cheap but not as high as I had expected and they kept it under their initial quote. And you get what you pay for.

Brought my dog in today as he had been acting off the last couple days. I thought it was a hip or leg issue due to his slow walk and being off balance. After a thorough examination by Dr. Coartney, and x rays and ultrasounds, it turns out he fast growing cancer that went into his chest/lungs. It was inoperable and Dr Coartney told me what my options were and how long he probably had left. They let me spend all the time I wanted with him before and after, answered all the questions I had. They made us very comfortable and he got numerous pieces of chocolate before the process. They have a hard job there and I thank them for spending time with me since this was so sudden and unexpected. I’m sure it is hard having to deal with pet owners as they spend their last moments with their animals.

10/10 recommend Carolina Veterinary Specialists to anyone needing a detailed consultation of anything that has to do with your dogs ears. My dog had a mass in his ear, I went to 3 different animal clinics and CVS were the only ones who actually knew what my dog was dealing with and how to help him. EVERY SINGLE PERSON on the staff, was exceptionally kind, heart warming, and understanding. This will be the first place I go back to if I ever need anything else for my Labradoodle. I truly wish they did routine visits. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. -Amanda.

BELIEVE the 1 star reviews on wait times and BEWARE of this place. Apparently unless your animal is on deaths door, they do not matter. Our dog was attacked by a rouge dog on a walk and had a near 50 cent size gash in their neck. They had our dog wait ELEVEN hours to stitch him up. They told us by noon and he wasnt free until 7:30pm... No one ever once called or updated us. To the point we just showed up after they obviously lied multiple times. Once saying he's up next. Two and a half hours later. No word. Call again, oh he's in the procedure. 2 hours later nothing until we show up. No stitching takes that long nor should wait that long. Staff up or close. I've also read reviews about their front desk. I can confirm they are utterly clueless. We brought in an attacked animal and in the initial leave a super cheerful OK see you later.... No self awareness, no procedure to update you, and obvious lies. Go up the road to the other clinic if it's before 11pm or drive to Denver if it's not life threatening.
