I think they should remove the word "affordable" out of its name. My dog got a fox tail and potentially an infection and they wanted to charge me almost $1000 in blood tests, revision, sedation, vaccines he already have, etc. Last time in Azusa Animal Hospital I paid &180 to get the foxtail removed, antibiotics and creams included. Next time I will drive half an hour to get really affordable dog care.
Terrible wait time. My dog had an appointment to be seen at 11:15 and was not seen for about 45 mins after the scheduled appointment. the entire visit took about 2 hours and even then the doctor couldn't give us an exact diagnosis of what was bothering my dog. We had called the day before to make an appointment and said an initial consultation fee would cost $55 but once we declined the other services they wanted to charge $115 for a "weekend visit consultation". This price was not disclosed over the phone when I originally made the appointment so that was a bit upsetting to hear. They eventually honored the $55 dollar fee that they had said. I wont be going back here for services.
I brought my cat in for an appointment at 11:15. At 11:45 there were able to see me. At 12:15 they informed me that they needed to conduct a series of tests including an Xray that would cost around $547. I agreed to the tests. At Around 2 PM they finished the tests and told me that my cat was experiencing a life threatening blockage that would require a procedure and 3 days of hospitalization. The bill was estimated at $6,334.46. Given the cost, we decided to do some research and found a vet in Tijuana (TJ Pet Care) who was able to see us the same night and provide the same service for $410. It's been a week now and our cat is doing great. I am grateful that Affordable Animal Hospital was able to send over the records from the tests that they took although we probably won't end up using them again given that their prices aren't as "affordable" as we imagined.
This is my second visit to this location for my new puppy (Scout). The telephone staff were very helpful. I was worried since my puppy seemed to have worms in his stool. Once I dropped him off with the tech. I later received a phone call in a timely manner from Dr. Alex (Vet). He was very informative with my puppy's situation and gave me an awesome recommendation not to mention a great history lesson on fleas from the black plague we both laughed at. He was very informative. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Alex.
Everyone was friendly the Vet was very thorough in explaining the treatment plan and possibilities of what my kitty could have. I work in the animal care field for 18 + years now and everything this Vet prescribed and recommended was on point nothing was added as just a "money maker" and I really appreciated them taking us in so fast as a new customer with no appointment. Happy to have found a local family Vet for our pets!
No good no compassion for feral I called for some resources two momy cats and 4 wk old litter. Looks like both moms are sick and babies too. The receptionist told me to call animal control because they don't treat freaks.
Horrible 😞 Our little Chihuahua mix, much loved family dog started vomiting and we first thought she had eaten something that might had caused the problem. After 2 1/2 days she did not improve, my son and his wife took her to this place first thing in the morning and explained what was going on with her and they charged more than $2,300 ahead of time to do everything that's possible to find out what was going on with her and to make her better.... long story short, I came along to see her on the 3rd day and she looked worse! They wanted more money to run a CT scan! I was extremely disappointed 'cause they supposed to have done it on the first day! She had diabetes, pancreatitis and kidneys malfunction.... I knew she wasn't gonna make it, but they still wanted more money out of my kids. The doctors weren't honest. We had to make a difficult decision to put her to sleep, we paid extra so that she would not suffer and when he injected her she lifted her head in extreme pain (she never made a movement till that moment). I felt the veterinarian was handling our dog without compassion 😞
