I wouldn’t trust this vet with not only an animal but anything living. How you operate a business speaks a lot to a person’s character and from what I’ve experienced in how this business treats its clients and those providing services back to them is a disgrace. **warning**They hire contractors for lawn care maintenance and snow removal and will refuse to pay. Their go to is to say "it doesn’t look like it was done", despite having an obviously cleared and safe parking lot for their customers. This has happened to at least 2 contractors that I’m aware of. I wouldn’t give this place my business or trust taking my pet here if this is how they interact and treat their clients. Who knows how they’re treating innocent animals under their care.

Just wanted to thank the staff for fitting us in and staying way past normal hours to perform emergency surgery! Because of them our Willow was the greatest Christmas present ever! The follow up after surgery was great! Thank you again for everything!!!

Was fortunate enough to find this doctor during an emergency situation for my dogs. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find the right doctor for your beloved animals. My dog had caught something very dangerous and this doctor saw us on a Sunday and continued treatment in his office over the next few days. My dog is doing very well now, cost was even cheaper then the vet I was taking him to for years. Staff was also friendly and reassuring. You can trust your animals will be treated and cared for properly here. Grateful to have found you guys. Keep up your amazing work. Now all my three dogs 🐕 are going there , I don't have to worry about where to take them anymore on of days of the week, and I was able to call the doctor and talk to him after hours what a relief that is . Thank you 🙏 for saving my dog's life.

They were very caring and efficient. My dog had a major eye and ear infection and was in a lot of pain. They took very good care even though he is not the most cooperative. They have helped many of my animals. Very caring and compassionate.

Please people be very aware of this place and pay attention to the bad reviews, its not just disgruntled customers complaining, this place is highly unprofessional, unclean, rude, and downright a scam. We unfortunately had the pleasure of being scammed out of $700 worth of treatments, tests, and blood work. Literally didn't have the time to see our normal vet because they were booked for a while and wanted to get our dog's eye looked at, because it was red, irritated and a little swollen. the only two things they got right was the eye and ear have a allergy infection going on, they told us our dog has a stage 2 heart murmur "most likely from heartworms" and the dog has a "internal allergy infection" which they determined from her blood work. Come to find out from our primary vet there is no heart murmur and the blood work that they sent over shows no infection, all levels are normal and to determine if there is a internal allergy infection or something of that nature going on, its a completely different blood work panel that you have to do. Also to mention the antibiotic that they prescribed to her was making her feel terrible, she was sleeping all day and it got to the point were you had to force her to wake up and she's a energetic playful dog. We came back up here to get answers and a explanation for this, all we were left with is that she is fine and doing better and if we wanted too we can switch her antibiotic but that will cost you, all they did was just rechecked her temperature, didn't even attempt to do a reexamination to make sure the dog isn't having a reaction to the drug. Then once I started questioning the validity of there decisions they became very defensive, argumentative, and avoiding, it was almost comical when Dr. Avtar and the vet assistant kept praising on how much he knows and how intelligent he is and of course how little we know. It got to the point were we asked to leave because there was a 'break of trust" and that we should get a second opinion. He also stated that we are to stop all medications because he was frustrated that I was questioning him, the dog is on a steroid, you can't just stop taking a steroid once you start taking it, even in people you have to gradually tapper off the drug it can be very dangerous doing that, which is a malpractice on his part and will be reported to the Michigan board of veterinary medicine. They even had the audacity to bring up a made up bill that we supposedly owed from six years ago when my poor mom had to euthanized her beloved dog, they brought this up during the first visit and the second time we came up there, to whoever it may concern that bill is considered paid in full, there is no animal hospital that I know of in the America that will let you slide on your bill, you don't have the money, you don't get the service done, just that simple. In conclusion our dog saw her original vet, she has a minor allergy irritation going on, and everything was addressed properly and professionally, it also assured me that we were taken advantage of when I called my original vet and mentioned this place and our experience and their only words to describe this place was " Oh! that place... yeah... sorry about that, this isn't the first time we have had to deal with them". If you have taken the time to read this I know you love your animals, so please go anywhere else but here, there is a reason why this animal hospital only has a 3 star rating in the tri-county area, let our experience here save you the trouble, I know this type of stuff can be very expensive and concerning when it comes to the health of our animals but it is so much more reassuring when you're dealing with a place that is competent, professional, clean, understanding, and caring as apposed to a place like this which will lie and push you into doing stuff that doesn't need to be done then will avoid any form of responsibility when questioned and in response will get irate. I truly did not take pleasure in making this complaint, Wayne Mercy Animal Hospital DO BETTER!!!

I highly recommend. Him and his team did my dogs surgery for a fraction of the cost because of his love for animals. Don't judge a book by its cover with this place!!! It's not fancy. It's a great place that truly cared and showed compassion for my dog when she needed an emergency surgery. His cost was extremely reasonable and lower than every vet I called. I highly recommend this place to care for your pets needs. He did the surgery about a year ago. My daughter returned about a week ago because her dog was having other urgent health concerns non-related to her previous surgery. She called booked the appointment and went for the exam. The doctor did the exam and gave her 2 shots to help ease her comfort. My daughter only had the money to cover the vet visit that she was quoted. She's only 18 and recently lost her father....he paid for the prior surgery. The doctor rembered her father and asked about him during the visit. She expressed that he passed away. The doctor and his staff showed her so much compassion. He gave her the shots needed and then took money out of the tip jar to cover the difference. That was such a kind and generous thing to do for a young girl with a limited budget. Not only did It show compassion for my daughter but also for her dogs health and welfare. It was determined that Bitsy needs further treatment and he quoted her a very reasonable price and instructed her to return within 2 weeks. What he did was generous and compassionate.

I wish I could give zero stars. I had a very disappointing experience today. I scheduled an appointment for my dog using the link provided on this clinic’s website. I selected a vaccine package that clearly listed a physical exam and vaccinations for $125. I arrived on time and expected a smooth visit. Instead, the staff had no record of my appointment. I was told that the scheduling link I used was created years ago by someone who no longer works there, and the current staff has no access to it. If the link is still active and accepting appointments, it should be updated or removed. Customers should not be penalized for using the system the clinic provides. To make matters worse, it took 25 minutes just to get this information sorted out — and the entire appointment was supposed to be only 30 minutes long. That delay alone shows how unorganized the process is. I was also informed that the package I signed up for was not $125 but $175, and that a Sunday physical exam would be an additional $65, plus $30–$35 per vaccine. None of this was communicated beforehand. The pricing was inconsistent with what was advertised, and the lack of transparency was extremely frustrating. The young lady at the desk was polite, but clearly confused and unable to honor the appointment or the pricing listed online. Overall, this was a very unprofessional and stressful experience, and I left without receiving the services I scheduled.
