Berman Center for Animal Care

We went to Berman Center For Animals and adopted the most wonderful little cat! The facility is top notch. The staff are attentive, very knowledgeable and friendly. The level of detail on the cat we adopted was incredible. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a new pet. We love our new baby!

adopted a cat from this society and I’m so glad we did because the way they keep the kitty’s is very disturbing. Tight enclosed metal cages where you can hardly see them and you can just tell they look sad. we went and they were all sleeping or looking at us with teary eyes. We adopted a medium haired black cat, looking like it hadn’t been bathed in months. the amount of dandruff this baby had was disgusting. not to mention the staff was ridiculously rude. A few weeks ago we adopted at Mackey center for animal care we arrived at 6:45 even though they close at 7 and they welcomed us with smiles and said they didn’t care that we came in before close "as long as we adopted one of their babies" they were also talkative and you could tell the kittens were extremely happy. We came to Berman at 5:40 they closed at 6 and there were no employees at the desk and when we finally got help they told us we couldn’t even meet with the other kitten we wanted because they were closing. they did not seem like they care about the animals at all. Please save a kitten from the the horrors of this shelter

If your looking for a pet, go here and pick up a rescue before buying from a puppy mill. We got a great Shih Poo and he fits right in with our family perfectly!!

5/5 We adopted an incredible furry friend from this Michigan Humane center during their $50 adoption event last weekend. Although the wait to get in took hours, it was so worth it and I appreciate all of the help the staff provided. K'Lynn and Chloe were especially helpful. They coordinated the meet and greet between our first dog (adopted from the Sterling Heights Michigan Humane center) with the new dog we adopted so well. They've been inseparable since!

When I visited the Berman Center in July 2021, I was very pleased with their safety precautions. I found a cat that I liked & it was very easy to adopt him. All I had to do is get acquainted & pay the adoption fee ($75). I think each animal has a different fee listed on the website. I am very pleased with my cat. He has a very sweet, loving nature & he's good company. His name was Craig but I renamed him Peanut.

It was a very clean and nice place. I told them what i was looking for and concerns and insurance . They were very nice answered all my questions and concerns. And the adoption didnt take long at all. I spent time with 2 kittens i wanted them to be brothers because thats what i had before and they were. Filled out the forms and signed and paid the fees . Then the hospital right close to my house called set up an apointment they give you one free one . So just check up and get there meds.And they were nice as well. Its in redford where i live an it so close . Because i adopted them in another city. So i have 2 healthy boy kittens 2 months old.

Went to get a second opinion on some masses my dog had. The vet was awesome!!! He ended up having his surgery there and they were great with him. It’s an hour from my home but well worth it. Saved me $2,000.00 over what the local vet was going to charge for the same surgery.
