This vet clinic is the absolute best place to bring your baby! The staff is incredibly kind and compassionate in everyway shape or form. When we brought our dog there who was aggresive towards strangers to get fixed and they let us be there the entire procedure! From the moment he was placed on the procedure table to when he was waking up, we were there for almost all of it. I'll always recommend this place as everything about it is so wonderful! The vet is also straight up and honest to you about everything which is an amazing plus. He clearly cares about animals and will take the best care of your baby. (Heres our handsome baby boy)

Loved the doctor who takes care of Piper our cat, who was a stray in Charleston. The facility is kind of small, and it gets really busy, but other than that I would recommend this facility to anybody that has a cat or a dog.Thank you so much.

I will never stop praising this DR. I refer everyone I know here. I brought my cat here due to a mystery sickness, she was so sick I was worried she would pass. The techs and vet here took her as a patient immediately and treated her. They showed me compassion and treated my baby with love. I highly recommend this clinic; prices are fair, and the staff are amazing. My cat is back home recovering now after being cared for for 4 days. *updated 8/15/25* Dr Neilson has once again saved my babies from an infection in their respiratory systems. His care was quick, to the point, and not overly priced. I will always go here for care ❤️❤️ the staff are so kind, they let you visit your pets if they ate held for treatment, and they always return calls. Thank you so so much for saving my girl and not charging me a fortune!

I brought my cat in the day after a traumatic experience. She was hiding, not eating or drinking, and just laying down. When they went to take her temperature, it was 95°F. Dr. Nielsen told me if it had been 1° lower, she would be dead. He comforted me in the best possible way: prepared me for the possibility she might be leaving me and "going to heaven." But that didn't happen. They fed and nurtured her, diagnosed her with liver failure, prescribed medications for her, and kept her at the hospital while I visited daily. Finally, she had begun to respond! The entire team works very hard and deliver such excellent care. Five stars!

Tootsie had seasonal allergies for 3 years. Last fall they didn’t go away. We were giving her apoquel in unhealthy doses. She chewed all the fur off of anything she could reach. It took a few months to figure out what was wrong with her. We tried anything Dr Nelson suggested. She hasn’t had an apoquel or a Benadryl for a month. Thanks Doc.

My boy was vomitting the whole night and i took him to a vet and they said he needed bloodwork and surgery but i did not have money for that so I took him here and they took such good care of him and he stayed there for 5 days and got back healthy and well. No surgery was needed the doctor did a natural treatment and it worked for him. I thought I would lose him but I am so grateful for the doctor and staffs here. I recommend everyone to go here. Reasonable price and awesome care.

Our regular vets both retired during Covid, so I was looking for a new animal hospital. Many are impossible to get into and still have restrictions that make office visits difficult. We got a new puppy, and a friend recommended Dr. Nielsen to me. I checked out his website, and he seemed knowledgeable. He is friendly, has a great sense of humor and knows his stuff. He also seems to genuinely care about animals. Prices are extremely reasonable. It’s about a 45 minute trip but definitely worth it. Highly recommended.
