Urgent Pet Care of Waco

We came in extremely worried about our Husky mix, as we suspected she hd an obstruction. The doctor and (I’m assuming tech?) were extremely reassuring and compassionate. I absolutely felt as though I could trust them. My pup is currently in surgery with their recommended surgeon and we were blown away by her setup. While I do not know the results of the surgery, I wanted to go ahead and leave a review for how wonderful this clinic is. Highly recommend them, and it’s a great alternative for the emergency vet.

Excellent experience all around. Very easy scheduling process. I was able to schedule online with just a few hours notice. Intake was simple but thorough. I didnt have to fill out tons of paperwork; we checked in at the front and were led straight to a room where we discussed the current concerns and relevant medical history. Danielle and Dr. Scholl were knowledgeable, caring, attentive, gentile, and focused on getting my cat the care she needed while ensuring her safety and physical and emotional comfort throughout the process. They did labs and imaging on-site and afterwards we were sent home with everything we needed for aftercare. I also got the lab results and visit note sent to my email, which I loved. Since moving to Waco 7 years ago, I've struggled to find pet care that I have full confidence in, and Urgent Pet Care is the most comfortable and confident I've felt with vet med professionals. I wish they offered routine care so I could bring all 3 of my cats but regardless, anytime they need urgent care on short notice, it will be here. Thank you for taking such great care of Pepper and for being so kind to us as well.

I can’t recommend this clinic enough. After an awful experience at the ER animal clinic, this place is a God send. Our calico had opened up her two-week old spay suture. I made appointment online, got there early, and was seen immediately. The techs and doctor were the absolute best. So thoughtful and kind. Being privately owned makes ALL the difference in every way from how patients are treated and the cost. I was shocked at how reasonable our visit was. I wasn’t expecting anything below $500. We only paid $350 which included treatment and meds. The next day, Sunday, I got a follow-up phone call and an email summarizing the appointment and treatment protocol AND a personal note at the end saying, "I hope cute little Mabel feels better soon." Kindness and respect and integrity. That’s this clinic. ♥️

We are so grateful for this urgent care and for Dr. Jessica Scholl. After leaving another clinic where our dog was actively bleeding and we weren’t given any help, we drove about 10 minutes here. As soon as we arrived, Dr. Scholl and the team took our dog back and helped stop the bleeding. That quick response made such a difference during a stressful moment. Dr. Scholl and team was calm, kind, and straightforward, and it was clear she genuinely cared about our dog. The staff made us feel heard and supported instead of rushed or dismissed. When your pet needs urgent help, you want people who take the situation seriously and act quickly, and that’s exactly what happened here. We’re very thankful for the care we received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this clinic.

Our dog received excellent care on a Saturday when our regular vet was closed. We were able to make an appointment online and were seen right away. The staff did a thorough and caring evaluation and we were advised about cost along the way. I highly recommend Urgent Pet Care!

Dr. Scholl has been such a huge help! We have stray/abandoned cats from time to time around the business property. When one is injured, she is quick to respond to our questions, and video texts, and is always ready for us to bring one in to get immediate care. Highly recommend 10/10 for urgent animal care.

Great after hours clinic. My dog had been developing a pretty nasty infection on her leg and I decided enough was enough. Very fair prices and kind staff that truly cares for your pet. Can’t recommend highly enough!
