My cocker spaniel puppy always looks great when she comes out. The staff develops their own relationship with your dog. Very personal, and they discuss the dog’s needs with you, and your needs as an owner managing your dog’s well being with my own lack of experience with a dog that requires more grooming.
I have a poodle named Jasper. In 2016, he had some skin infection issues, and through a friend's recommendation, we came to this animal hospital. Acredale has been taking care of his health for the past ten years. Two weeks ago, due to his old age, pneumonia, and skin cancer, we visited the hospital. After an efficient and professional examination, Dr. Madison offered several treatment options, and we decided to bring him home and take medicine and keep conservative treatment. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it. I called to cancel Jasper's follow-up appointment and let them know we lost him. Today, I received a card from them—thank you for the comfort from Acredale! Once we get through the grief of losing Jasper, we will bring our new puppy back here! Absolutely!
Unfortunate and fairly rare recurring root hypoplasia in our Golden Doodle. Several teeth had to be extracted. Vet took great care with him and he is again on the mend. Extraordinary service from Acredale!
I called yesterday asking to set up a new pet vet visit. The receptionist offered me an appointment the following day at 7 pm. I was told to arrive 15 Min early with a fecal sample and vet records. When I showed up, I was told there was no appointment made. I showed the girl my call logs. She was rude and treated me as I was making up this information. She then told me a vet could only see me if there were no medical concerns. When I asked why she said " it’s late and you aren’t scheduled so we are having to fit you in" . I asked her if she felt I was making up that I had a scheduled appointment and just arrived at 7 for fun? " At this point, I realized this vet and I are not a match and walked out. . Maybe confirm all appointments before showing up because they very likely will not have you scheduled.
Great customer service with people and animals. My dog has been going there for two years and I would not change vets for anything. The attention and care are above board. Clean, safe, and so wonderful. Highly recommend Acredale to everyone I know. All the love to them. Dakota Leah loves to go see her Vet. Even though she may be dramatic at times. This Aussie girl loves them. Thank you so much for all the care and attention she gets. Sincerely, Mrs.Hudson
We brought our English Bulldog Sheba here for near 5 years. Recently, we had a visit where we had an appointment but we asked to drop off our dog instead. This was confirmed but it was NOT explained that they would refill the appointment spot and make my dog wait for hours & also without feeding her something (which even if I was charged, take care of her). After the hours of waiting, of course a pet could get stressed. They call my wife and say my dog is defecating everywhere. We didn't like the tone and the female doctor was rude to my wife on the phone (curt). I asked if I can come to keep her calm so they can give her vaccines. They say YES so I head over. Once I get there, the doctor is rude and did not properly address about my calling her out for being rude to my wife by phone. I ask about keeping Sheba calm and them finalizing what they needed to do. She agrees and goes and tries to find a manager. A new person comes in, over the grooming dept, and they tell me I need to pay for the exam and no one is comfortable helping me or my dog. This is the opposite of what was agreed by phone and the opposite of what the doctor just confirmed to my face. Why the doctor had to send someone else in is also interesting. We will be leaving this place and taking our pet somewhere else.
I have always been so pleased every time I bring my pets here. Dr. Green was the best. She listened to me and my concerns and I felt like she genuinely cared for my Golden Retriever. He has been sick for awhile and she did the necessary testing (she didn’t try to do extra just for the money) to confirm both her and my suspicions. I received a call as soon as the labs were back and medication had already been ordered and was ready for pick up before our conversation was complete. I won’t take my pets (my family members) anywhere else. I am so grateful to Dr. Green and the Acredale Kempsville team. You are literally lifesavers.
