I love everything about them & HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!! The atmosphere, prices, services offered, staff, [and ALL of the extras...purring fur babies to pet while you wait]and last but definitely NOT least, the Vet! Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and they always treat our babies with such love & kindness. A huge plus that I've not received from other locations is a personal and detailed explanation by the vet himself!
If I could give this negative stars I would…Found a stray and wanted to get him checked for a chip it was late so had to wait until the morning. That morning he looked like he was peeing straight blood. Called office as soon as they opened a male answered the phone. No greeting just Hello. I explained the situation and without hesitation he sharply stated yeah there is nothing available today… no let me look at the schedule, no recommendations, and absolutely NO care at all in his voice. I saw raving reviews about how amazing this place is. I saw that they helped with rescues in the area. I thought for sure they would at least guide me in the right direction but whoever this man was that answered the phone could not have been colder. I am taking time and money to care for a dog that is not even mine simply because I couldn’t let an innocent pup suffer. This man is getting paid to take care of animals and clearly he has no heart for them.
We had a traumatic experience ending with our dog needing vet care after being attacked. I was referred to this vet who works with a local rescue. I called and asked for the contact I was given. Instead, it was a man whose very first question was, who is taking financial responsibility? I was taken aback at first, then stated we were. When I explained that our dog was attacked, he replied, "it takes two to fight!" At this point, already traumatized, scared about my dogs injuries, I got more upset. He told me the only available appointment was at 3:30, I could tell that this man was not interested in helping, so I told him we would find a different place. I asked if he was the vet, and he said no, im a worker. I'm sure it was indeed the vet. If not, the vet needs to fire that man asap. What "worker" speaks to potential clients in that manner? We ended up going to North Tyler Vet Clinic, where an hour wait was most definitely worth it!!! This place might work for some, but do not expect kindness, empathy, or even professionalism. How does this vet stay in business?
We trust our pets health to Dr. Spence and his staff. He’s helped get them over some hurdles.
Amazing work. Amazing vet. All the staff is amazing also!!! Was able to save a leg that had been abused with something wrapped around that cut the pups circulation off. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
I needed to get teeth cleaned on a lab sized dog. It is expensive to do it as it requires the dog to be put to sleep. They make it much more affordable. Additionally, the Dr and the staff are amazingly friendly. He has saved a number of cats and dogs, some of which roam around the office. A great experience, and my dog's teeth are pearly white.
I do a lot of rescue work on my own due to so many babies being dumped on or around my property and rescues being full and out of resources. I try and do what I can. I have 8 dogs and had a primary vet. I took in 3 rescues and parvo broke out, killing them all. No other vet clinic including my established vet offered any help or advice. After driving around with 2 dying dogs in my car and making stops at multiple clinics, Dr. Spence showed compassion. He and his vet tech informed me of how to handle parvo (which I never had dealt with before) and taught me how to administer fluids. The dogs didn't make it, I lost all 3 unfortunately. But his and his teams compassion didn't go unnoticed. Thank you, Dr. Spence and team. I will never forget that and I'm happy to now have you as my primary care vet for my pack of 8.
