Everyone there is exceptional. From the front desk to the assistant and Dr. Covervill. Dr Covervill is by far the most knowledgeable, informative, patient, understanding and kind. She knows how to treat people and animals with the utmost compassion. I wouldn't go anywhere else to treat my 3 amazing fur babies. Thank you for being the #1 place to care for your pets!!

I can’t say enough good things about the excellent care my dog, Emmie, received at this clinic! So kind and caring. We were always greeted by professionals who knew Emmie and met her needs. A few weeks ago, it was time for the next part of the journey, the sad part. Dr Coverdill and Melissa were amazing! They made Emmie’s last moments joyful and memorable. I miss Emmie so much but when I think of the look on her face as she gobbled up a plate full of wonderful forbidden foods, it makes my heart happy. We were so blessed to find you all! Thank you so much!❤️

I rarely write reviews but they deserve it! The staff was amazing, and treated my dog like their own! They’re in it for the animals and not out to profit off of you. You can tell when a vet is passionate about animals and Dr. Sherry Johns obviously cares so much about what she does! She gave a diagnosis and prescription without pressuring us to do lab work or x-rays, and gave us great advice for home care. I will definitely be returning here and bringing my other pets in for a well visit. They also offer a nice military discount. (20%). On top of that, they waived my visit fee because my dog was adopted. Highly recommend!!

I moved to the Tucson area about 6 months ago. I have been to the vet office 5 or 6 times now. They are always helpful, kind, considerate and professional. Rarely is the wait long, and if it is, they keep you informed and let you know when your pet will be seen. As a hospital they are going to give you the top options for your pet. However, the vet is open to helping you make the right decision for you and your pet. No judgement if you choose to go with less tests, etc. And you are given time to make the decison, no rush or pressure. Both Dr. Johns and Dr. Waters patiently and thoroughy explain your options. The techs are willing to answer any questions and/or ask the doctor. All the staff are friendly, helpful and compassionate. I had contacted a few other vet offices before finding VCA as I have a couple of special needs cats and did not receive feed back on my questions or concerns from the other offices. VCA was immediately responsive and I am extremely thankful I found them.

::Update:: (8/22/2025) Dr. Cortez is no longer at this VCA! 😪 My dog's appointment this year seemed rushed. My dog was only scheduled for a bordatella vaccine and yearly exam. I turned down all the extra (6) OPTIONAL tests VCA wanted to do on my dog. The vet tech and vetrinarian were cordial and friendly but we did not seem to clique well with our new vet DMV Grace Legend. The atmosphere felt very different and not good. Payment was requested by the vet tech immediately while we were in a patient room and not at reception. This appointment felt weirdly rushed and very awkward in comparison to my previous visit here last year. See previous old review below for more context. ‐-------------------------------------------------------------- Great veterinary care for east Tucson. They are LGBTQIA2S+ friendly. They display an all kinds are welcome pride flag sticker on entrance window. The vet assistant and Dr. Cherie Cortez did a phenomenal job with handling my very nervous dog. They understood my pets needs and listened to my concerns. They were affordable and were willing to work within my financial budget for my visit. Also the office and visitors area smells and looks clean. I showed up early and they were able to take me and my dog to a room right away. I had a very good experience at this location.

First visit with this office and Dr. Sherry Johns and WOW, I was so impressed with this office! Our GSD is anxious in new situations/environments (as well as being a covid puppy) and from the beginning of the appointment the staff were kind and welcoming. Jordan, our tech, took his time to make our dog feel comfortable and enage with her. Dr Sherry was so compassionate and thorough. We had been looking for a new vet clinic and this will be our new home! Can't recommend them enough!

We recently adopted a kitten from the Hermitage and VCA called and offered us a FREE office visit. We already have our own veterinarian but I decided to make the appt anyways…who says no to a free office visit? Let me just say they are FANTASTIC! They got me in quickly, the front desk staff were very nice and the facility was clean and modern. The vet tech was very knowledgeable and loving to our kitty. The vet, Dr Susan is wonderful! She was patient, took her time and really offered great care to our kitty. If you don’t already have a vet…run don’t walk to the VCA Animal Hospital on Harrison & 22nd!
