Saguaro Veterinary Surgery

Our puppy had surgery 1 week ago (TPLO) and she is doing well. I am so glad we came here. The entire staff and surgeon have been so amazing! I know they have many clients/patients but they made us feel our girl was number 1 priority!

I just have to send another 5-star review and huge shout out to Dr. Hutcheson and the incredible staff at Saguaro Veterinary Surgery. After findings with the CT scan for our pup Stella, Dr. Hutcheson called me last Friday to discuss a plan for treatment. I appreciated the fact he recommended we start with the least invasive/least expensive route. I am blown away how Dr. Hutcheson took the time needed to answer all of my questions, making sure I understood the plan going forward, never once making me feel like he was in a hurry to get off the phone. During our discussion, he prescribed meds, which would be ready for pickup before noon that day. At about 11:30, the receptionist called, concerned I had not picked the scripts up yet. I forgot they close at noon on Fridays and the vet tech had insisted I receive a call, as they did not want Stella to be without her meds over the weekend! Now, who does that?? Any other place would have simply closed and Stella would have had to wait until Monday to start her antibiotics! I can’t say enough how much I appreciate the fact the Vets and support staff at Saguaro Veterinary Surgery make you feel like your pet is their one and only patient!! Two thumbs up and all my Thanks and Appreciation for this wonderful Team!!!

We brought in our four and a half pound Chihuahua with a half pound mammary tumor in to have the doctor at Saguaro Veterinary Surgery examine her. We were told by other vets in the area that she probably would not be able to come out from under the anesthesia because of her size and her age. She is 16 years old. When the doctor looked at her, he made us feel comfortable that he could remove the tumor and she would be okay. I am happy to say that he did just that, and she is so happy now. Thank you to Saguaro Veterinary Surgery and staff!

Update 10/17/2024 Carl, who is now 2 and was the runt of the litter. He now weighs in at 124 lbs. He had to have a torn ACL on his left rear leg. Part of the problem when he was a rescue from a backyard breeder. He was happy to return to the the same place due to the friendly staff and open environment. He's a lover and was treated like family. We can't say enough great things about the crew. We brought our Rotty puppy to have 5 extra dew claws removed. Along he needed a nasal reconstruction a minor birth defect. He now has a normal nose, not one that looked and sounded like a pug's nose. They were careing and super attentive to a puppy's needs. The place was spotless, and my wife and I couldn't be happier.

Everyone at Saguaro Veterinary Surgery Center was super friendly from the moment we walked through the door . Staff, Doctor's amazing how they treated my dog Silas . Kept me informed all time during his surgery From prepping him for his surgery till the surgery was done I got a call from the staff and the vet later to inform me about my dogs surgery . I highly recommend this place for your pet if they need surgery . Thanks again to the wonderful staff and doctors for all you did . See you all soon ❤️🙏🏻

Our pup tore both her ACLs and we were really overwhelmed with all the advice we were getting. Speaking with Dr. McCally immediately put us at ease. He was so even tempered and patient, he walked us through each option and answered all of our questions regarding surgery and recovery. Dropping her off was emotional but every single staff member was incredibly kind and reassuring. When we called for updates the staff was so responsive and never gave us any indication that we were overbearing, which we probably were based on our stress level. Our dog walked out the day after her bilateral surgery better than she had been walking for the months leading up to it. Following the clear instructions given to us we have seen continued improved in the 6 weeks since. Bianca called us the day after to see how our pup was fairing and encouraged us to reach out with any issues (thankfully there were none). The same level of attention and compassion was evident in our two week post check up. I truly cannot say enough good things about the level of professionalism and kindness throughout our experience at Saguaro Veterinary Surgery. If your animal needs surgery (and I hope they do not) there is nowhere else I would recommend you go. Thank you to everyone on the staff who took such good care of our girl and has helped on her path towards healing!

I have to say for starters, they’re wonderful and exceptionally detailed. The run up to surgery entailed a bit of communication and scheduling. They’re a Trupanion facility which was awesome! The care for my dog was warm and personal. I can’t give them a higher recommendation! Surgery went well and we’re home!
