Banfield Pet Hospital
Address is a veterinary clinic that has served the community for several years, offering a range of services for feline companions. The facility is known for its dedicated front staff, particularly Patti, who ensures a welcoming atmosphere. The veterinary team is generally caring and competent, providing good medical care for pets. However, there have been instances where communication could be improved, especially regarding referral options and associated costs.
While the clinic has made efforts to address past issues, there have been concerns about the transparency of referral processes and the affiliation with other veterinary hospitals. Despite these areas for improvement, Address remains a viable option for cat owners seeking veterinary care, with a focus on compassionate treatment and professional service.

Still haunts me to this day. We had to put down our beloved dog, Spencer in 2010. One week after my mom passed. The clinic put Spencer on a cold metal table, never gave him a sedative (didn’t know they was supposed to), they injected him with the drug to kill him. He panted so loud, starring at us in pure respiratory distress until he passed. To this day, I want to know who allowed this. To this day, my young daughters have PTSD about this torture. Shame on this clinic for allowing. Then to charge extra to have our dog solely cremated vs with other dogs for $150.00 upcharge Shame on you
We have been using Banfield in Troy for 4 or 5 years, at least. In our time there, some things were bad but they fixed them. The front staff, especially Patti, is awesome. The Doctors have been caring and good. The reason for three stars is because recently our dog needed surgical repairs. The Dr at Banfeld said "the only two pet hospitals for surgery are both BluePearl, one in Southfield..." Well, we ent to that Blue Pearl and got screwed over (a different review on that later). Suffice it to say that BluePearl got 11K from us on Friday and then wanted 4-5K more for one more night. The reason it is partner this review is becuase Banfield Troy and BluePearl Southfield are BOTH owned by the same parent company...MARS or something like that. Dr. Scythe at Banfield, while absolutely helpful and compassionate, failed to disclose that the only hospitals she knew of were owned by the her office's parents company. I will add that 2 years ago we had to out down one of our dogs. We used them. They demanded we pay the remaining months on the Wellness Plan...despite how little we used of it AND that we paid a full euthanasia bill. Maybe I should make this one stat.
I’ve been with Banfield Pet Hospital for a long time and have always gone to the Northville location — I never really had a bad experience there. As life got busier and that location became too far, I started visiting the Troy location since I have family in the area who help me with pick-up and drop-off. Recently, my dog wasn’t doing well and needed some attention. I made a walk-in appointment at the Waterford location since it’s the closest to me, but I just didn’t feel at peace there — something felt off, so I decided to call the Troy location. I was very emotional on the phone (it’s always heartbreaking when your pet is sick), and that’s when I spoke with Kelsey — truly an ANGEL. She was so kind, patient, and compassionate that I immediately decided to drive from Waterford to Troy because of her. My overall experience at the Troy location was a 10/10. Kelsey went above and beyond, and the doctor (Dr. Bonino) who cared for my dog, Kobe, was incredible — detailed, professional, patient, educated, and genuinely sympathetic. They both turned a stressful and emotional experience into something comforting and positive. Thank you to the entire Troy Banfield team — you have my trust and deepest gratitude. ❤️🐾
Hands down the best place to take your pet for a regular vet. I’ve gone through so much anxiety and worry dealing with my senior pup, and they’ve helped us out every step of the way for years. Not only with our current dog, but with our last one too. The staff are always warm and attentive, while also being extremely knowledgeable and eager to provide the best for your pets. Honestly any review less than 5 stars for this place offends me, as I’ve never felt anything but the upmost care for my pets. Thank you to everyone at Banfield, and for anyone reading this wondering if this is the right place, know that your pet will be in good hands.
We had a great first visit with our new puppy. Brought back into the room promptly and a tech was in within minutes. Vet was very nice and informative!
Very compassionate and patient staff. Everything was thoroughly explained throughout the appointment. Clean facilities, prompt scheduling, and they really do care about your pet.
I needed help with my 23 pound rescue dog with not being able to touch her ears or face because of her history. They were less than sympathetic and flat out told me if I couldn't muzzle her they were not willing to do anything to help except expensive sedation. It was a waste of time and money, in my opinion! Buyer beware.
